EXCLUSIVE: Mystery surrounds Pete Evans' marriage to wife Nicola Robinson after they quietly unfollowed each other on Instagram - but he insists everything is fine

Pete Evans is busy trying to save the world with his bizarre 'food is medicine' philosophy, but perhaps he should be focusing on problems closer to home.

Rumours are swirling that all may not be well in Evans' marriage to former glamour model and self-described 'nutrition mermaid' Nicola Robinson.

The pair quietly unfollowed each other on Instagram in late March, but the sacked My Kitchen Rules judge was quick to deny rumours of a split at the time.

When contacted for commented on March 31, Evans insisted there was no truth whatsoever to speculation they had parted ways.

'No, not at all,' he said. 'We just had a wonderful week together at the farm with the kids. She is having a break from Instagram at this time.'

While Evans insisted then that Robinson was just taking a 'break' from social media, she had in fact posted on Instagram just a day earlier.

At the time, Robinson used the Instagram handle 'nicola.robinson.evans', but she has since changed her username to 'memoirs.of.a.wild.one'.

Interestingly, at the time of the unfollowing, the pair hadn't been pictured together on Instagram since November 2019.

During this period, the couple seemed to be living separate lives, with Robinson residing at their $1.2million farm in northern NSW while Evans stayed at their home in Malabar, Sydney, with his two daughters from a previous relationship.

They now appear to be following each other on Instagram again, which suggests that whatever marital problems they were having have since been resolved.

The couple began dating in 2012 and married in 2016 at their rural property. 

Evans often boasts on social media of his wife's exemplary cooking skills and their daily 'tea ceremonies'.

The ex-MKR judge shares two teenage daughters, Chilli and Indii, with his ex-partner Astrid Edlinger, from whom he separated in 2011.

As their step-mother, Robinson shares a close bond with the girls and often uploads pictures of them enjoying activities together on the farm.

Robinson was previously married to millionaire Warriors rugby league club owner Eric Watson. She has no children of her own.

Evans has been involved in a string of controversies since being sacked by Seven in May for his extreme views.

In July, he claimed that COVID-19 was a 'f**king hoax' and that the pandemic 'doesn't compare to what is happening in the world on a large scale'. 

Among his false claims about the pandemic, Pete has previously declared he's immune to coronavirus, and blamed the health crisis on 5G technology.

He recently endorsed fellow conspiracy theorist David Icke, a Holocaust denier who was denied entry to Australia last year after protests from the Jewish community.

It is not suggested that Evans endorses the views of Icke relating specifically to Holocaust denial or the Jewish people. He instead supports Icke's views on globalist conspiracy theories and media manipulation.

Evans' central belief is that 'food is medicine' and that by following a Paleo diet, people can develop superhuman immune systems that can withstand all illnesses, including COVID-19.

There is absolutely no scientific basis for this. Following a particular diet does not make a person any less likely to contract the deadly respiratory virus.
