Teen mom banned: From the high school yearbook

A teen mom banned from her high school yearbook is standing by her decision to submit a photo of herself with her son. According to a May 3 The Hollywood Gossip report, Caitlin Tyler, 17 is fighting the school to get the photo of herself with her baby put in the yearbook.

The school invited seniors to submit a photo of themselves holding a prop which showcases their greatest accomplishment. Some showed off a football or clarinet. Caitlin held her one-year-old son. The school refuses to allow the photo, saying it promotes teenage pregnancy.

Tyler says it is because of her baby boy that she has become responsible and focused on building a strong future. Stars of the MTV reality show “Teen Mom” and “Teen Mom 2,” including Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans, have shared similar sentiments. Unfortunately, the reality stars drug abuse, porn films and other scandalous behavior may cast a bad light on teenage mothers who are making less questionable decisions.

What are your thoughts? Should a teen mom be banned from the yearbook?
