Osbourne 'devastated': Sharon Osbourne set most of the record straight Tuesday on "The Talk," bringing up her recent marital struggles with husband Ozzy Osbourne and declaring in no uncertain terms that they are not getting divorced.
“Everybody knows he’s been struggling with this [substance abuse] his entire life and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn’t realize to the extent. It’s our business — we’re dealing with it; we’re not getting divorced.
"However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes I am — I’m devastated right now."
Rumors swirled a little over a week ago, fueled by British media reports that declared the Osbournes were living apart and getting divorced, with some mention of a major tax bill being behind the alleged breakup.
On April 16, Ozzy took to Facebook to speak his piece, denying the divorce rumors, apologizing to his family and admitting he'd been drinking and using drugs but was now sober for 44 days.
“Everything that was printed in the tabloids has been distorted," Sharon said Tuesday. "There’s always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted. The only thing that’s true was the Facebook posting that my husband did on his Facebook where he said he’s been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half … and that he has been in a very dark place. That’s true. It’s very true."
One aspect not addressed: Who's living where. Indeed, among the "seeds of truth" were pictures of Sharon hovering around a moving van. Then there was the talk that she was living at the Beverly Hills Hotel and he was living in a house nearby. Oh well, as she said, it's their business -- plus Ozzy is on the road touring right now, and (unless he's slipped since that Facebook post last week) is somewhere around 51 day
