So that must be why Maria Shriver looked happier than a clam as she played in the sand with her son Patrick Schwarzenegger and daughter Katherine as the family wrapped up their Hawaiian holiday on Friday.

The 57-year-old writer and activist couldn't keep down the laughter as the trio - joined by Patrick's girlfriend Taylor Burns - built sandcastles on the shores of Maui.
Maria, who divorced the children's father Arnold Schwarzenegger after 25 years of marriage, showed off her curvy physique in a zip-up black one-piece swimsuit, which she covered up in a sheer black maxi dress.
The mother-of-four looked flawless as she went make-up free, her ombre-coloured hair blowing in the tropical breeze.

And the holiday trip confirms the rumoured romance between Patrick and his college sweetheart, who have kept close over the past few days.
Patrick couldn't seem to keep his eyes off his leading lady as they took a stroll along the perfect white sands, before showing off his playful personality by burying Taylor in the sand as she grinned from ear-to-ear.
The loved-up couple were first linked last December, when Taylor was seen resting her head on Patrick's shoulder as the pair watched a Los Angeles Lakers game alongside his mother Maria.

Maria and the Terminator star split in May 2011 after 25 years of marriage.
The relationship reportedly deteriorated after it was discovered the former Governor of California, 65, had fathered a lovechild with an employee in the couple’s household 14 years earlier.
Following the collapse of their marriage, Maria listed their $4.5m Santa Barbara ranch where they once spent their family vacations for sale.
And several months later the former couple also put their Carpinteria ranch on the market, listed at $4.495million.
