Flexible in her 50s! Marcia Cross celebrates

Last year she announced that she was putting her acting career on hold to concentrate on her family.
And it looks like Marcia Cross is really getting into her role as a full-time mum as she hit the beach with twin daughters Eden and Savannah on Monday.
Showing off her boundless energy, the former Desperate Housewives star cartwheeled across the beach with her six-year-old as she celebrated her 51st birthday.

The flame-haired actress, who became known for playing Bree Van De Camp in the hit ABC show, seemed like she was embracing her new role with gusto.
Looking happy to be spending time with her little ones instead of being at work, the star decided to prove just how flexible she still is as she showed off some gymnastic moves.
Showing the world just what a hand on mum she is, Marcia got stuck into some beach activities, keeping up with the youngsters and showing them just how it's done.

The former TV star looked happy and relaxed as she spent the day playing in the sand, looking a million miles away from her most famous character.
She decided against wearing any make-up, showing off her flawless complexion and let her trademark red hair flow in the breeze, not worried about it getting tousled.
Marica could have passed for any other mum on the windy beach, dressed in loose-fitting black trousers and a striped blue jumper.

At one point she kicked off her shoes and ran around bare-foot on the sand, splashing around in the water and grinning.
Later in the afternoon the mother and daughters started digging in the sand, getting to work on making some impressive sandcastles, while Marcia took some snaps on her phone.

After eight seasons on the popular drama, Marcia has said that she doesn't plan on taking on any acting roles in the near future so she can concentrate on her daughters.
She said in a recent interview: 'During the show I got married, I had twins and I took care of my husband at one point when he was sick.
'I went from thinking I was giving up my acting career to working on a hugely successful show.'
