Jennifer Lawrence was the talk of the GLAAD Awards on Saturday night, when she debuted a short new haircut. Now it has emerged that she cut her hair on a whim. Miss Lawrence, 23, turned up at stylist Mark Townsend's salon just one hour before she was due to appear on the red carpet at the star-studded Los Angeles event. Mr Townsend told Harper's Bazaar that he was shocked by her spontaneous request to cut her long locks into a tousled bob. An inventor has gone to extreme lengths to combat bad hair days by designing a special cap that dampens down loose locks. Entrepreneur Max Valverde, 29, from Massachusetts, created the product for people who wake up with an untameable hairstyle in the mornings.
