Husband tells of moment his pregnant wife, 36, died suddenly from brain haemorrhage when her face 'went blank' as they were chatting in bed

A heartbroken husband has revealed how his pregnant wife's face 'went blank' as she died suddenly from a brain haemorrhage while they were chatting in bed.

Mother-of-three Laura Bolon-Williams, 36, was four-months pregnant when she suffered the haemorrhage at the family home in Perton, Staffordshire.

She leaves behind three children and her husband Scott, who she had been in a relationship with since high school.

Scott has now paid tribute to his childhood sweetheart after the tragedy and revealed his shock over how she died in an instant.

He said: 'It's been an incredible loss for us all. Laura was the kindest of people and was loved by everyone who met her.

'She wasn't ill at all. We were talking to each other in bed and her face just went blank.

'The ambulance arrived but it was instant. Within 20 minutes I knew that there was no coming back.

'She had a brain haemorrhage, but it was something to do with the baby they think. It was honestly just horrendous.'

Laura and Scott were talking in bed when she suffered a bleed on the brain on April 3.

She leaves behind children Ethan, 18, Alexander, 11, and Caitlyn, seven. The family are now attempting to rebuild their lives after such a monumental loss.

'It has been tough, but it is started to get a bit better now,' Scott said.

'She was an organ donor and her organs went on to save three people's lives, something which she would be so proud of.

'This was the kind of person she was and she would want us to all to help and support each other in any way we can.'

Children were a big part of Laura's life — she had worked as a childminder and recently qualified as a teaching assistant.

Scott said: 'Laura loved being around children, having three of her own, becoming a childminder in her early twenties and becoming a teaching assistant for the last three years.

'She loved teaching children, she thoroughly enjoyed creating little craft projects and they all loved her just as much as she loved them.'

In an effort to keep the beloved mum's memory alive, Scott has raised money for children's bereavement charity Winston's Wish.

Scott wrote on the fundraising page: 'Winston's Wish is an incredible charity providing emotional and practical bereavement support to children, young people and those who care for them.

'This charity is fundamental in supporting children and their families and any donations, whatever the amount, will make such a difference to their work.

'Laura would love that your donations are going to help these children and their families who are going through the most difficult time of their lives.'

Scott, who owns landscaping company Able Greenscapes, has recently revamped a garden at Perton First School to honour his late wife.

She attended the school as a child, and the couple's daughter Caitlyn has recently started Year 3 there.

Scott said: 'The school has been so good with Caitlyn since her mum died. They're a such a lovely school.

'I noticed it was a rundown area, so I offered to tidy it up. They had applied for funding, but it was rejected so I said that we would do it for free.

'The staff member actually cried when I told her.'

The garden, worth £9,000, took five workers eight days to complete during the summer holidays.

It is now ready for the children to enjoy as they begin a new school year.

Scott says that he will continue to find ways to give back and keep Laura's memory alive.

The father has decided to put on a charity ball on Saturday, October 23, at the Mount Hotel in Tettenhall.

Tickets are not available yet, but information will be included on the landscaping company's Facebook page.
