Urgent recall of NINE canned vegetable lines contaminated with bacteria that could make shoppers very sick
A whole range of canned food has been pulled from supermarket shelves due to contamination fears.
Sapro Australia issued an urgent recall for nine varieties of Koo canned vegetable available at independent food retailers nationwide.
Affected products include several varieties of baked beans, butter beans, sweetcorn, and mixed vegetables.

The popular pantry staples have been recalled due to potential microbial contamination which was the result of a canning failure.
Microbiological contamination is the non-intended or accidental introduction of infectious material.
'Food products with microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed,' a Food Standards Australia alert stated.
The date of manufacture on the recalled cans is from May 1, 2019, up to and including May 5, 2021.
Purchased items shouldn't be consumed and must be returned to the store of purchase for a full refund.
'Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,' the regulator added.
