NRL bad boy and a women's rugby league star were forced to hide their affections from other WAGs after they were kicked out of a restaurant while 'going to the toilet together'

The NRL bad boy kicked out of a Gold Coast restaurant on Sunday after he was caught with a woman in the men's bathroom was looking for a place to be 'intimate'.

Canterbury Bulldogs star Adam Elliott, 27, who is no stranger to off-field controversy, could have his playing contract torn up following his brief dalliance with Brisbane Broncos NRLW player Millie Boyle.

It has since emerged the pair were kissing in the bathroom because they did not want to be seen by wives and partners of other Bulldogs players at the restaurant.

The pair, who are both single, knew one another after both growing up near Bega, on the NSW south coast.

'Look, all we did was have a kiss in the bathroom. It's been taken way out of context. It's a big kerfuffle about nothing,' Ms Boyle told the Daily Telegraph.

The Bulldogs are expected to come down hard on Elliott, who has been stood down for the club's final two matches of the NRL season, pending an investigation from the NRL Integrity Unit into the incident.

Canterbury boss Phil Gould labelled Elliott's conduct 'grade five stupidity.'

'Every time a player like Adam Elliott who has a list of priors puts himself out there to be criticised again, we drag up all of that,' he told Channel 9's 100% Footy on Monday night.

'And that affects the club, it affects the brand, the sponsors, the fans, and particularly when the club is not performing very well it leaves a sour taste in everyone's mouth who is associated with the club.

'It has to be dealt with swiftly, Adam understands that and we will deal with it as swiftly as we can.'

Elliott was was asked to leave the Gold Coast venue on Sunday, with the club and the NRL becoming aware of the incident on Monday.

The integrity unit are also looking at whether any biosecurity rules were breached, including if the venue is classified as a restaurant rather than a pub.

They will also determine how Elliott and other players got to the venue, given public transport and ride-sharing is off limits under the protocols.

Elliott played in the Bulldogs 22-16 loss to the Newcastle Knights on Saturday afternoon on the Gold Coast.

Earlier this year it emerged he was caught kissing the fiancée of former team-mate Michael Lichaa when he visited the couple's home in Connells Point, in Sydney's south, on February 13.

Lichaa had woken up at 4.30am to find Elliott, who was also in a long-term relationship, kissing his partner Kata Childerhouse on the back deck of their home.

Texts between Elliott and Lichaa later revealed Elliott's regret over the incident.

'I've got some serious deep issues with drinking and last night I made the biggest mistake of my life I'm so sorry I've hurt you and hurt Elliot's Robyn.

'Never in a million years did I ever think I'd do this to you I can't say how sorry I am.'

Following the incident at Lichaa's residence, Elliott vowed to stay off alcohol - until last Sunday on the Glitter Strip.

In 2018, Elliott pleaded guilty to obscenely exposing himself in public after a wild 'Mad Monday' celebration at Sydney's Harbour View Hotel.

Elliott and team-mate Asipeli Fine exposed themselves on a balcony of the hotel in full view of people doing the BridgeClimb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Both were charged the pair with obscene exposure and the Bulldogs was handed a $320,000 fine, after the men allegedly drunkenly danced to Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.

The two later each received a two-year good behaviour bond.

After the incident with Lichaa, the Bulldogs declined to punish Elliott, announcing that he would seek help for 'issues with alcohol'.

'The Bulldogs have conducted their own review and have decided that Adam will undertake professional help in regard to issues with alcohol, with the Bulldogs to provide full support including a strict monitoring process,' the club said.

The development on Elliott comes as Canberra Raiders player Curtis Scott had his contract terminated, effective immediately, after the club's board said on Monday it had considered statements and material presented at a hearing with the player on August 17.

The 23-year-old is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm over his alleged involvement in a nightclub incident last May.

He had already issued by with a breach notice by the NRL, which suspended him for three games and fined him $15,000 over the incident.

It has also emerged Scott was involved in a fight with former teammate John Bateman, which the club kept in-house.

Scott joined Canberra from Melbourne in 2020 on a four-year deal but his time with the green machine has been marred by suspension, injury and poor form.
