Donald Trump WILL run for president in 2024 says his former press secretary Sean Spicer

Donald Trump will run for president in 2024, according to his former press secretary Sean Spicer.

The apparent confirmation comes after Trump has previously teased another campaign for a second term after he lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden.

'He's in,' Spicer told Washington Examiner during an interview of his upcoming book Radical Nation: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's Dangerous Plan for America.

Trump has yet to officially confirm whether he will run again - but has been said to have recently met with his former chief-of-staff Mark Meadows and former cabinet officials at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Spicer told the Washington Examiner that Trump has been encouraged to run again because of his displeasure with the Biden administration's stances - such as the reversals of his policies on immigration.

He said Trump has $102 million in apparent campaign funds and has worked to lose weight and keep his post-presidential approval ratings high ahead of his potential third run for president.

John McLaughlin, a Trump pollster, told the outlet that 'the more Biden fails, the better President Trump looks.'

Spicer added that Trump plans to be a 'kingmaker' during the 2022 midterm elections - and has already started backing a number of candidates ahead of those races.

He has previously said he was '100 percent' considering another run for president but would wait until after the midterms to make a final decision, The Sun reported.

Trump will be 78 in 2024, and would be the oldest person ever elected president if he won.

The current oldest person to win a presidential election is incumbent Biden, who was 77 when he won in 2020. He would be 81 if he ran and won in 2024.

However, a recent poll from Quinnipiac University reveals most Americans believe Trump running for president again would be bad for the country, Newsweek noted.

The poll found that 60 percent of Americans agreed with the statement that "it would be bad for the country" while just 30 percent disagreed with the stance.

Pollsters noted that the divide fell along party lines, with 95 percent of Democrats thinking it would be bad and 73 percent of Republican thinking it would be good.

In the 2020 election, Biden won 306 electoral college votes to Trump's 232.

Federal Election Commission data shows Trump won 46.86% of the popular vote with 74,216,154. Biden won 51.31% of the vote with 81,268,924.

Even after numerous recounts and elections audits called for by Republicans, President Joe Biden clearly won the 2020 presidential election.

A flurry of lawsuits filed by Trump and those loyal to him after the November election have also been thrown out of courts with claims they lacked merit.

Election officials nationwide, as well as security experts, have repeatedly noted that there is no proof of widespread election fraud.

Trump and his supporters have continued to allege without evidence that he lost the election because of widespread voter fraud.
