Danny and Lucinda's budding romance was ended once and for all during Monday's episode of Love Island as he branded her a 'Lamborghini' and she shared a steamy kiss with Aaron.

Lucinda was left unimpressed when Danny chose to snog AJ during the 'Snog, Marry, Pie' challenge and then pied her, despite them being in a couple.

After the challenge, the pair decided to end their romance with both feeling like they behave too 'serious' when around each other.

Not happy about getting pied, Lucinda said: 'I didn't understand your reasoning behind that challenge.'

Unapologetic, Danny replied: 'I'm not the type to chase you like a little dog. I'd rather take you down a peg and have banter with you. 

'I feel like you give nothing back to me. I'm not asking for a kiss, I'm asking you to come and ask me am I alright. I can sense you gravitating towards Aaron more than me.'

Lucinda said: 'With the challenge, you kissing AJ...'

'I did that to see if you got jealous like I got jealous the other night,' Danny said, referencing when Aaron tried to kiss Lucinda in front of him. 

Lucinda said: 'Oh right. I was a little bit p****d off.'

Danny said: 'I want you to have a good time and I can sense I don't bring that out in you.'

Lucinda replied: 'No I don't think you do. I'm not like this with you but I feel like with you, I feel quite serious.'

He added: 'I don't think we're vibing with each other at all.'

'No I don't think we are to be honest,' Lucinda said. 

Danny said: 'You're like the Lamborghini I want to drive, put the key in and it doesn't work.'

'Maybe buy a new car,' Lucinda joked.

Going their separate ways: 'I need to just nip it in the bud I think,' Danny said, to which Lucinda agreed: 'You need to nip it in the bud.'

Danny told AJ: 'I want to get to know you. Even though we haven't spoke we were looking at each other. There was none of that with Lucinda'

Speaking in the beach hut, Lucinda added: 'I am so happy that Danny situation is over and out. Aaron is the nicest person ever I just can't wait to get to know him more.'

Lucinda then let Aaron know what happened, saying: 'I've just ended it with him. I didn't think I had it in me but I did it somehow. He made out like he was doing it as well but I did it. 

'He said, 'you're the fittest one in here but you're a black Lamborghini that doesn't start.' What the f**k is that supposed to mean?' 

Before their kiss, Lucinda jokingly asked: 'Have you ever actually been in a relationship in here? What have you been doing?' 

Romance: Aaron and Lucinda will be anxiously awaiting the next re-coupling, as they'll be wanting to make things official between them

Aaron replied: 'I was with Sharon for a bit. About as long as you and Brad were .'

Lucinda then questioned why Aaron was interested in her because she's 'nothing like Sharon', to which Aaron explained: 'Well I ended it with Sharon after a couple of days, I don't know if you noticed. But I mean look, a lot of things have happened, and I'm happy it ended up like this.'

The pair will be anxiously awaiting the next re-coupling, as they'll be wanting to make things official between them.

Lucinda said: 'I'm happy as well. Good things come to those who wait.'

Currently, Aaron is in a friendship couple with Kaz.

AJ is currently coupled up with Hugo who she has said she's interested in but hinted at being open to a romance with Danny, saying their relationship is still in 'early days'.

During the challenge, the islanders had to pick three different people to either snog, 'marry' or pie.

When it was Danny's turn, he passed Lucinda and said: 'You ain't spoke to me,' and kissed AJ.

Before pieing Lucinda, he said: 'Treat 'em mean keep 'em keen.' 

Unimpressed, Lucinda said in the beach hut: 'OK then hun fine pie me, whatever.' 

Lucinda then ignored Danny for her kiss, choosing to smooch Aaron, who had picked her for his snog earlier.

On Tuesday's episode, the results of the public vote for the favourite girl and favourite boy will be announced.

The girl and boy with the least amount of votes risk being dumped from the villa.
