He was doing time in jail after his mother, enraged by his relationship with Habiba (Rukku Priya Nahar), set him up for robbery of Ruby's Nightclub and the assault of Martin Fowler (James Bye) - taking the fall for his brother Vinny (Shiv Jalota).

His imprisonment saw him leaving his pregnant girlfriend behind in Walford.

The Panesars organise protection for Jags in prison through Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) but he removes it after he learns Kheerat (Jaz Deol) was getting close with his step-mother Sharon (Letitia Dean).

They desperately try to pull enough money together to secure Jags protection in prison but, unable to stump up the cash, he meets his untimely death as he is attacked in his sell.

The family are still unaware that Ben Mitchell played a part in Jags death and instead are struggling to overcome the guilt they feel for not being able to get the money together, meanwhile Suki blames herself for her son's death.

And her employee at the Minute Mart, Honey, has started wondering whether Suki is starving herself as punishment for his death.

After having her own battles with an eating disorder, Honey reaches out to Suki and visits her at her home to offer her support and encouragement.
