'I've always been a shy person': Beauty and the Geek's Sam is 'lost for words' after he gets an incredible makeover

Beauty and the Geek's Sam underwent an incredible transformation on Sunday's episode.

The 23-year-old grocery worker from Victoria said goodbye to his old hairstyle and daggy dress sense, after winning the prenatal group challenge with partner Aira, 23.

After impressing his co-stars and host Sophie Monk, Sam admitted that he's 'definitely not used' to being called 'good looking' as he's always been 'a shy person'.

Sam, who previously wore slogan T-shirts, jeans, oversized vinyl jackets and reading glasses, showed off his new clean-cut look, including much shorter red tresses. 

He cut a cool and casual figure in a crisp green button-up shirt, slim-fit pants, sneakers and a fitted denim jacket. 

Upon greeting Sam for the first time following his transformation, a pleased Aira said: 'We both worked really hard together and you deserve it. I'm so proud of you. I just can't wait until you see yourself in the mirror so you can just be so confident.'

After: Sam showed off his new clean-cut look, including much shorter red tresses. He cut a cool and casual figure in a crisp green button-up shirt, slim-fit pants, sneakers and a fitted denim jacket 

Prior to seeing his transformation in the mirror, Sam said: 'I don't know what to say. I've always been a sort of a shy person. 

'I'm definitely not used to having anyone saying, "Oh my God. Look at you, you're so good looking". Especially girls, but it felt good and I was lost for words.' 

Meanwhile Lachlan, 32, and Kiera, 23, were the winning couple to receive a date.

Proud: Upon greeting Sam for the first time following his makeover, Sam's pleased partner Aira , 23, said: 'We both worked really hard together and you deserve it. I'm so proud of you. I just can't wait until you see yourself in the mirror so you can just be so confident'

Kiera treated Lachlan to a cocktail making session and an Asian meal.  

While enjoying the meal, Kiera described Lachlan as 'amazing' in a heart to heart.

'You have the world to offer people and you've really been such a really, really positive and wonderful person in my life,' she gushed.

Getting on well: Meanwhile Lachlan, 32, and Kiera, 23, (both pictured) were the winning couple to receive a date. Kiera treated Lachlan to a cocktail making session and an Asian meal. While enjoying the meal, Kiera described Lachlan as 'amazing' in a heart to heart

Lachlan later said in a piece to camera: 'I didn't expect there to be such a strong connection between Kiera and I. I think that she and I are going to be lifelong friends.'

Both couples are still in the running to win the $100,000 cash prize. Unfortunately for Kyle and Leticia they were eliminated at the end of Sunday's episode.
