And on Monday, Married at First Sight star Cathy Evans shared a string of traumatic videos on Instagram which showed the painful aftermath of the procedure.

The 27-year-old shared a string of clips of herself bandaged up, while she recovered in bed barely able to move and 'wet from leaking'.

'Those who said "it's not that bad" were lying through their teeth!' she captioned the footage. 

Cathy had revealed on YouTube that she was getting the fat-removal treatment around her arms, upper and lower back, flanks (the area around the hips), upper and lower abdomen, and thighs.

She said she was considering liposuction around the jaw, which she clearly decided to go for after posting a photo of her neck marked with pen pre-surgery.

During the videos on Monday, Cathy said: 'Hey everyone, I'm super swollen right now so my face looks quite f**ked and I can only sleep on my stomach.

'My neck is killing so I can't really do anything about this discomfort, but I'm getting by.

'I am in quite a bit of pain and very limited in movement and very wet from the leaking, but I am obviously documented this and I will have a week one blog that will be ready when I'm able to edit and stuff.

She added that she 'can't even look at her phone' through the pain, but thanked everyone for their support.

Cathy had spoken out about her decision to go under-the-knife on YouTube.

Defending her decision to get the work done, Cathy said: 'I've thought about this long and hard enough.

'I'm old enough to make my own decisions and what I decided to do to my body doesn't affect anyone at all, it doesn't change my personality it just makes me look better,' she said with a laugh.

Credit unions will go head-to-head with payday lenders after the Government announced it would raise the cap on interest charges so that unions do not make losses on short-term loans. The Treasury yesterday confirmed it will introduce legislation that from April 2014 would raise the interest rate ceiling on credit union loans from two per cent to three per cent a month following a consultation with lenders. Three per cent a month works out at APR of 42.6 per cent. Currently, restrictions on interest rates mean that while unions can make decent returns on long-term loans, loans of a similar length to those offered by payday lenders tend to operate at a loss. Helping hand: Short-term credit union loans will be more expensive, but more sustainable for unions and still well cheaper than payday loans.
