Surrey Police ridicule burglary suspect after catching him in bright yellow onesie and say they have 'eliminated Pudsey and Big Bird' from enquiries

Surrey Police has ridiculed a burglary suspect after catching him in a bright yellow onesie and saying they have 'eliminated Pudsey and Big Bird' from their enquiries.  

Officers were called to a report of a burglary on Station Road in Ashford at about 3.40am today.  

Upon arrival, officers found the two suspects along with the stolen goods nearby.

'RPU detained the two suspects who had just broken in to a local restaurant. We have eliminated Pudsey and Big Bird from our enquiries, but Laa-Laa is a Prime Suspect.'

A Surrey Police spokesperson confirmed a 26-year-old man from Woking and a 35-year-old man from Addlestone were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

According to the force, they were taken to hospital for check-ups after the officers suspected them of being under the influence of drugs and remain in custody after being discharged.

The stolen items were returned to their owner.
