'When hundreds of thousands of bad hombres show up in your suburbs and towns ... then you'll be saying "Sir, we need you back right away''': Donald Trump's farewell address, according to his longtime spoofer Alec Baldwin

Donald Trump's expected farewell speech has been mocked by his longtime spoofer Alec Baldwin who has imagined the president warning Americans they will soon be saying 'Sir, we need you back right away' after 'hundreds of thousands bad hombres show up in your suburbs and towns'.

In the speech, Trump (aka Baldwin) compares himself to George Washington with his 'big beautiful plantation' being 'very diverse like Mar-a-Lago' as he insists his farewell is 'very voluntary' after he 'decided against staying in Washington DC' just like the first president of the US.

Baldwin, who has played Trump during Saturday Night Live for the last four years, reprised his role as the president for the audiobook 'Hasta la Vista, America' which parodies the president's farewell speech to the nation.

The 42-minute Pushkin Industries project, written by writer Kurt Andersen and performed by Baldwin, is a follow-up to the 2017 book 'You can't spell America without me: The really tremendous inside story of my fantastic first year as President Donald J. Trump (A so-called parody)'.

A three-minute teaser sees Baldwin as the president warn of a 'total takeover by the communists' before hitting out at the 'death squad' in Congress including 'Ilhan, Cortez , Ayana, Ocasio, Rashida, Kamala - also Booker.'

The spoof audio begins with a fanfare before the president begins his address to his 'fellow Americans'.

'My fellow Americans, Happy New Year,' he says.

'That's right. For a while you're still free to say Happy New Year like you were free on New Year's Eve to gather together and have fantastic parties and hug and sing and  kiss without masks,' he says, in reference to his Mar-a-Lago bash where maskless revelers, including the Trump children and Rudy Giuliani, flouted coronavirus restrictions for a huge party where they danced to music from Ice Cube.

Mumbling is heard in the background before Trump corrects his comments about masks, on the apparent advice of the person off camera.

'Okay got it - or with masks - your choice, especially if you're not immune - like me and the First family,' he says, after he boasted of being immune to COVID-19 on leaving hospital following infection in October.

'But soon in March or April or whenever, try going into a restaurant or store if they're not all shut down already and say 'Happy New Year'. They'll scream at you, kick you out - even if you're wearing a mask,' he warns.

'America will be much less great again.'

The 'president' went on to draw comparisons between himself and Washington and to say this speech is the 'most important in history'.

'My fellow Americans this is the most important speech I've ever given, the most important in history,' he boasts.

'Speaking of history, George Washington 'I cannot tell a lie'. Just like me although I could tell lies if I wanted, but I don't and that's why they hate me - the phonies, the radicals, the liberals, the elitists, the fake media the Antifas - because I tell too much truth, but our first president, first 45 ... Washington invented what I am doing now.

'What many historians call his farewell address.'

Trump also draws parallels between Washington's decision not to run for another four years and him leaving after one term after he lost the presidential election to Joe Biden.

Baldwin's president continues hold onto his unfounded claims of election fraud, once again pushing the false idea the election was 'rigged' despite no evidence of fraud, dozens of lawsuits gaining no ground and his own administration finding the election was fair and legal.

'He could have run again, won very easily another term then again and again and again forever - no rule against it - and back then elections weren't rigged,' he says.

'In his farewell address, George Washington told Americans like I am doing now why he decided against staying in Washington DC for another 4 years - no thanks bye bye, going home after fighting so hard for freedom.'

Like Washington, Trump boasts that he will head home to his estate to play golf, which he dubbed the 'sport of kings'.

'Heading south with the First Lady, play golf - sport of kings - back to the big beautiful plantation with its own 200 lifetime personal employees, almost like family, very diverse like Mar-a-Lago,' he says.

'As they say "history repeats" so it is my totally voluntary farewell address to you the people - farewell.'

Once again, mumbling is heard in the background with Baldwin saying 'like we talked about' before a clip of Trump supporters chanting "we love Trump, we love Trump" is played.

Trump then returns to hit out at the squad - the nickname for the group of Democrat Representatives that includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.

He muddles 'the bad places they come from' with their names and adds Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker to the list - presumably just because they are also people of color.

'Farewell for now as far as the White House goes because never say never. You know after the total takeover by the communists - look at that squad over in Congress - I call it the death squad - like the bad places they come from - Ilhan, Cortez , Ayana, Ocasio, Rashida, Kamala - also Booker,' he says.

'When there's hundreds of thousands bad hombres show up in your suburbs and towns, flown in from Detroit and Chicago plus the Antifas from Portland and Seattle who can blend in, look like your own kids - so sneaky - then you'll be saying: "Sir we want you back. We need you back right away."'

He closes out saying: 'But don't say your president didn't want you.'

It is not clear if or when the real Trump will give a farewell address to the nation.

He finally admitted Thursday - one day after the siege by his supporters on the Capitol that left five dead - that he will leave the White House next week but has still stopped short of conceding.
