Woolworths has issued an urgent recall of one its most popular products amid fears it may contain traces of salmonella.
The supermarket giant is recalling home brand coleslaw in 110g, 250g, 400g and 800g sizes with use by dates from January 12 to January 21.
The coleslaw, a favourite BBQ side for many Australians, has been pulled from shelves in regional Victoria as well as NSW and the ACT.

'Woolworths is recalling these products due to the potential presence of microbial contamination - salmonella,' the company said.
'Food products with potential microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed. 'Consumers should return the product to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket or Metro for a full refund.'
The statement went on say that 'any customers concerned about their health should seek medical advice' sand that 'no other products are affected by this recall.'
According to NSW Health, accidentally consuming salmonella can lead to salmonellosis, a nasty infection.
Symptoms includes headaches, fever, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting.
Most people usually recover within a week, with others requiring hospital treatment in extreme cases, deaths can occur as a worst case scenario.
