Iconic US burger franchise Five Guys has finally revealed where it is opening its first Australian bistro, and other locations likely to be graced by the cult chain.
The first eatery will open in the Sydney suburb of Penrith, right next to the Panther's League rugby club on busy Mulgoa Road in the middle of 2021.
The coronavirus pandemic ruined plans for a restaurant in the Sydney CBD, but the chain is still considering locations between Circular Quay and Broadway.

Plans for a Sydney CBD Five Guys restaurant were canned, but the chain is still considering locations between Circular Quay and Broadway so inner Sydney-siders can still enjoy Five Guy's large cut fries and greasy burgers
Penrith punters can expect to enjoy greasy burgers and milkshakes for a decade, as Seagrass Hospitality has signed a ten-year lease with the Panthers Group.
The restaurant will be neighbours with fellow big American food chains McDonalds, KFC, Krispy Kreme and Outdoor Steakhouse.
Five Chains hopes the shop will be the first of 20 to open in Australia within ten years, starting with three to five Sydney cafes before expanding, QSR Media reported last year.
The unexpected decision to shift from a city-based restaurant to a suburban one was blamed on 'astronomical' CBD rents, reported the Australian Financial Review.
'$1.5 million in annual rent for a joint in the city is not what we wanted,' said Seagrass Hospitality CEO Bradley Michael.
Five Guys is renowned among burger chains for its loyal customer base, attributed to the large portion sizes, fresh fries and traditional American diner-style feel.
