QAnon Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene refuses to wear a mask at House swearing-in ceremony sparking 'screaming match' between Dems and Republican staffers - then poses on Twitter wearing 'Trump Won' face covering

QAnon-supporting Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene refused to wear a mask at the House of Representatives' swearing-in ceremony on Sunday, despite multiple requests from House floor staff.

Greene and another Republican being sworn into office as a part of the incoming Congress class were told to put masks on but refused to comply on Capitol Hill, Politico's Jake Sherman reported Sunday.

He revealed Republican and Democratic floor staff got into 'a screaming match on the floor', adding, 'So this Congress is going great already.' 

He said Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, who is a Trump ally who supports the president's bid to overturn the election results, also stood on the floor maskless. 

Greene hit back on Twitter, tweeting 'Well I actually do have a mask,' posting a selfie of her wearing a black mask that said 'TRUMP WON.'

She is known for supporting discredited QAnon conspiracy theories that paint President Donald Trump as a secret warrior against a supposed child-trafficking ring run by celebrities and 'deep state' government officials.   

Several House members have been in quarantine after being exposed to coronavirus, and participated in the ceremony and the vote for Speaker from plexiglass enclosures, Capitol Hill doctor Brian Monahan said. 

Greene also tweeted: '@SpeakerPelosi changed the COVID rules because she is desperate to cling to the gavel. No one can attack me about masks, when Pelosi is sending Democrats to the floor with positive COVID tests to vote for her for Speaker.'

Greene also tweeted: '@SpeakerPelosi changed the COVID rules because she is desperate to cling to the gavel. No one can attack me about masks, when Pelosi is sending Democrats to the floor with positive COVID tests to vote for her for Speaker.' She was referring to Democratic congresswoman Gwen Moore who announced on December 28 that she tested positive for COVID-19 but said she had quarantined and was safe to attend the ceremony

She was referring to Democratic congresswoman Gwen Moore who announced on December 28 that she tested positive for COVID-19.

She told a reporter Sunday that she had quarantined for two weeks, which sparked speculation about the precise date of her diagnosis, and said that her doctor said it was safe for her to attend the swearing-in.

Greene slammed Pelolsi for speaking to Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore, who had COVID, said she recovered and attended the ceremony 

Luke Letlow, a 41-year-old Republican who had been elected to Congress from Georgia, died from the virus on December 29. 

Speaking on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures Greene said she will contest the presidential election results during the joint Congress session this Wednesday.

'I’ve said from the beginning, I’ve joined Mo Brooks in our objection of the stolen election. I believe it is our duty as members of Congress to uphold the Constitution and defend the integrity of our elections and I intend to do that,' she said. 

'The people of this country, Americans, by the millions, 75 million people reelected Donald J. Trump on November 3 and they are screaming from the rooftops that they know this election was stolen. We’ve got so many people who have signed affidavits at risk of perjury telling about election fraud,' she added.

When asked if she’ll present new evidence at the joint session, she said, 'I don’t want to reveal our full plan because you never want the enemy to know what you’re up to.'

Speaking on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures Greene said she will contest the presidential election results during the joint Congress session this Wednesday saying: 'I believe it is our duty as members of Congress to uphold the Constitution and defend the integrity of our elections and I intend to do that'

'What we’re going to do on January 6 is, we have over 100 members of Congress and that is growing. I hear from new members every single day as I’m on the phone…our senators we have a dozen but guess what there’s going to be more senators leading in the objection. We will be raising our objections and we will have sponsors and cosponsors in each state,' she added.  

Many of Greene's public comments and social media posts have sparked backlash.  

She said the deadly White Supremacist rally in Charlottesville in 2017 was an 'inside job' to 'further the agenda of the elites'.   

She claimed that black people 'are held slaves to the Democratic Party' and claimed that white males are 'the most mistreated group of people in the United States today.'

On Facebook she followers of Islam and Sharia law to 'stay over there in the Middle East', as per Politico. 

She also called Jewish philanthropist George Soros a 'Nazi'.  

In August she tried to distance herself from QAnon telling Fox News that the conspiracy 'wasn't part of my campaign' noting that once she 'started finding misinformation' she 'chose another path.' 

However, she continued to share her controversial views. 

In September she posted an edited photo of herself posing with a gun next to Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib with the message: 'Hate America leftists want to take this country down... We need strong conservative Christians to go on the offense against these socialists who want to rip our country apart.'
