A 15-year-old girl who disappeared in Birmingham after boarding a train has been found 'safe and well'.

Megan Simpson went missing on Thursday after boarding a train from Lichfield in Staffordshire, where she lives, that was heading towards Bloxwich in Walsall.

The teenager is believed to have got off the train in the Sutton Coldfield or Wylde Green areas of Birmingham, West Midlands Police said.

In a statement on social media today, the force said: 'Missing Megan Simpson has been found safe and well. Thanks for all your shares. '
