Teenager is struck and killed by a 'devastated' 80-year-old driver while crossing the road with his sister as witnesses describe the 'horrific' scene
A teenager has died after a car struck him while he tried to cross the road outside a school.
The 19-year-old man and his sister had been walking along a pedestrian crossing at Childs Roads outside Lalor North College, in Melbourne's northern suburbs, at 7.30pm on Sunday.
An oncoming car then struck the teenage boy, narrowly missing his sister, 7 News reported.

Witness Jason Chahine took to social media to describe the horrific scene as 'very bad'.
'I saw it. It's very bad. Guy is in the middle of the road being treated, the car who hit him … driver is devastated,' he said.
Paramedics performed CPR on the boy, but were unable to revive him.
The 80-year-old driver, from Reservoir, has been released after assisting police with inquiries.
Officers are on the lookout for a number of drivers who stopped at the scene, but left before handing over their details.
They urge anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
