How Australian families could save $130 a year on power bills thanks to a revolutionary new renewable energy plan - and you can bag one of 9000 new jobs
Families could save up to $130 on their electricity bills annually thanks to a groundbreaking renewable energy plan which will also see the creation of more than 9000 jobs.
The energy plan is part of the NSW government's long-term pledge to deliver a high level of electricity infrastructure for residents.
The state road map, which will reveal the best ways to deliver renewable energy zones, energy storage and on demand supply, is expected to generate an estimated $32billion in private investment.

An estimated 6300 construction jobs and 2800 ongoing jobs will also be created, mostly in regional NSW by 2030, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Energy Minister Matt Kean and NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro have both backed the plan, which will support the private sector to deliver 12 gigawatts of renewable energy and two gigawatts of storage online by the end of 2030, a government source said.
The government also believes the plan will create a long term investment signal for renewable energy zones, long-duration storage and on-demand supply like gas and batteries.
Mr Barilaro said the road map shows the government's determination to deliver Australia's first renewable energy zones in the NSW Central West and New England regions by the end of the decade.
'The stimulus the Renewable Energy Zones will provide to regional communities will unlock over 9000 new jobs and will be a huge boost to farmers and land owners, with $1.5billion in lease payments expected to go to landholders hosting new infrastructure by 2042,' Mr Barilaro said.
'The road map will make sure that renewables are developed where regional communities want them and where they are compatible with farming.'
Mr Kean added the 'priority is to keep the lights on and get power prices down' across the state.
'The road map is forecast to save NSW households an average of $130 and small businesses an average of $430 on their electricity bills each year,' he said.
