'Poll numbers like mine go wrong once in a blue moon': SNL mocks an overconfident Joe Biden as Hillary Clinton returns as a Halloween ghoul and Lil Wayne and Ice Cube show up to back Trump

Jim Carrey has returned as Joe Biden in a spooky Saturday Night Live skit mocking the Democratic candidate as overconfident ahead of the November 3 election, and urging U.S. citizens to vote President Donald Trump out of office.

'Greetings America, it's a spooky time filled with demons and darkness -- also its Halloween,' quipped Carrey's Biden. 'For some Trump voters, it's the only day they'll wear a mask.'

'They say I'm eight points ahead. Poll numbers like that can only go wrong once in a blue moon,' he said in character as Biden, looking over his shoulder at a blue moon in the window. In fact, there was a blue moon out on Halloween -- the second full moon in a calendar month.

He was surrounded by creepy Halloween decorations, which he said were borrowed 'from Melania's Christmas display.'

'Once upon a midnight dreary, while Trump retweeted QAnon theories, and rifled through his Aderall drawer, I was writing my acceptance speech when something stopped me with a screech,' the poem began. 'It was a knock upon my chamber door.'

'It was someone still a little sore,' he said, as Hillary Clinton, played by Kate McKinnon, swept into the room.

'You may be scared of for years more -- quoth the Clinton...,' Carrey's Biden read, as McKinnon's Clinton replied: 'We lost before.'

'We just have to come together like two butt cheeks to stop the c**p,' said Carrey's Biden of the election. 'Trump cannot win, we must do better than that super-spreader.'

The Biden character continued: 'I said c'mmon, no one would dare -- I'll be sworn in fair and square, all the votes accounted for.'

'Just like Al Gore,' McKinnon's Clinton replied. 'Your real advantage is you're not a woman, you're a man!'

Other cameos followed, including Mikey Day as data journalist Nate Silver, and Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd as rappers Ice Cube and Lil Wayne, respectively.

'Why in the name of all that is holy would you be voting for Trump,' Carrey's Biden asked the two rappers, who in real live have either worked with or endorsed the president.

'Taxes,' the duo replied in unison. 'Plus Trump's got a platinum plan,' Redd's Wayne added. 'That's right, if you got a platinum record, you can plan on him doing a photo op with you,' chimed in Thompson's Cube.
