Justin Anthony Garcia, 30, is charged with battery after an altercation with his cousin in Lehigh Acres, Florida, on Sunday afternoon
A Florida man was arrested Sunday after slashing his cousin with a pocket knife in an argument about the best type of milk.
Lee County's Sherriff's Office was called to a home in Lehigh Acres at around 2pm following a report of a disturbance.
They arrested Justin Anthony Garcia, 30, after learning he had pulled the pocket knife on his cousin after a disagreement over whether almond milk or whole milk is better.
The arrest report does not indicate which milk Garcia was arguing for.
'Two men got into a verbal argument this weekend over which type of milk was better: Almond Milk or Whole Milk. The argument got heated, eventually escalating into a physical altercation,' the sheriff's office revealed in a Facebook post.
The department joked that Garcia '"cried over spilled milk" because the victim wouldn’t agree that his choice of milk was obviously superior'.
'Garcia proceeded to punch the victim with a closed fist to the victim’s left side of his forehead,' the arrest report states.

His cousin attempted to fight back and took a swing at Garcia's head but missed and hit his shoulder.
Garcia then angered further and proceeded to take out a pocket knife and run after his cousin.
'The victim became scared of what Garcia might do with the knife and proceeded to run away from Garcia as he chased the victim through the front yard,' the court document reads.
When Garcia caught up with the victim, he struck him in the torso causing a small cut.
The police report said that the fight began over an argument about milk
It adds that Garcia said his cousin 'thinks he is better than the whole family'
The whole incident was witnessed by Garcia's uncle Edwin Parrilla who intervened and kept the two men apart until deputies arrived.
'The witness was working on the victim’s vehicle in the driveway when he heard Garcia and the victim argue over almond milk,' the complaint adds.
Garcia denied using the knife in the fight and claimed that he was defending himself after the victim came after him with a stick.
He claimed that the argument was about prior issues and his cousin 'thinks he is better than the whole family'.
The whole altercation was a family matter they handled, he told deputies.
The pocket knife was found on Garcia after a search and he was taken into custody.
He is charged with aggravated battery and was released Tuesday on a $25,000 bond.
According to ActionNewsJax, this was Garcia's tenth arrest in Lee County.
His first arrest dated back to 2004 when he was 14. He was accused of battery on an elected official or education worker.
He was most recently arrested in February and charged with a parole violation.
