Now, LG confirms Wing is that the name of its smartphone

The apparatus believed to have a swiveling second display will be unveiled at an event on September 14th

LG has confirmed its upcoming phone is going to be called Wing (the Wing?) And will be revealed at its announcement event on September 14th. The unit is thought to have two displays in a swiveling type variable, with a recent teaser movie demonstrating what looks like a sliding mechanism that may rotate into a T shape.

As well as its swiveling displays, reports about the Wing so far have suggested the device will encourage 5G, possess a triple-rear camera array with a 64-megapixel main detector, and will run on a Snapdragon 7-series chip.

The apparatus will be LG's first launched under its Explorer Project, a brand new mobile category the company says is aimed at"discovering new ways to interact with mobile devices... and hard established user criteria," including that the Wing will"deliver a new and distinct form factor and mobile experience that would not be possible to create with conventional smartphones."

LG's announcement event kicks off at 10AM ET on September 14th.
