A muscly security guard who stole the spotlight at AFL's biggest award night has been accused of smuggling drugs into prison.
Wesley Newell, 42, from Richmond, in inner-city Melbourne, rose to fame and was dubbed 'Mr Brownlow' after footage of him delivering the crucial votes at the medal went viral.
The professional bodybuilder became a prison guard at Ravenhall Correctional Centre and has since been charged with misconduct of a public official.

Newell allegedly 'wilfully and intentionally did culpably misconduct himself' during his stint at the prison between February 1, 2019 and January 17, 2020, according to court documents.
He is accused of smuggling contraband, including 557g of tobacco, tobacco papers and an ice pipe into the facility, Herald Sun reported.
Newell was also in possession of magazines and impact driver drill bits while on the job.
He was charged last month and is no longer working at the prison.
He is due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court in November.
