A heartbroken Fifi Box looks strained in Melbourne as she pulls out of her breakfast radio show after the tragic death of Jaimi Kenny - the older half-sister of her daughter Trixie

A devastated Fifi Box emerged from her father's Melbourne home on Tuesday morning, just hours after learning of the death of Jaimi Kenny - the eldest daughter of her ex-partner Grant Kenny.

Despite ending her relationship with former Ironman Grant eight years ago, the radio host, 43, shared a close bond with Jaimi and is no doubt heartbroken over the 33-year-old's death on Monday from an unspecified illness.

A visibly strained Fifi walked out the house carrying her one-year-old daughter, Daisy Belle, on her hip as she was waved off by her father.

The sighting comes after Fifi pulled out of her breakfast radio show on Tuesday following news of Jaimi's passing.

Her absence was briefly alluded to on Fox FM's Fifi, Fev and Byron, with host Byron Cooke saying: 'Well, Fi is away today but the show must go on.'

Trying to lift the team's spirits, Brendan Fevola added: 'We're a team, we're one and one, we're going to mould into one and just nail it.

'If we're in the Titanic, I've got my arms around you. I'll carry you, bro.'

Fifi welcomed Trixie in 2013 after a brief relationship with Jaimi's father, and despite their break-up remained close to Grant's children from his previous marriage to Lisa Curry: Jaimi, Morgan and Jett.

She hasn't commented publicly on Jaimi's death, but it's believed they were close.

Jaimi would even babysit her much younger half-sister on occasion while single mum Fifi was at work.

She did not acknowledge Grant was Trixie's father until 2016, when she shared a photo to Instagram of the retired athlete attending their child's third birthday party.

In June 2019, Fifi welcomed another daughter, Daisy Belle, via IVF and an anonymous donor. The identity of Daisy's father is not public knowledge.

Lisa continued: 'So loved. So beautiful. So kind to everyone... So painful. I can barely breathe.

'Jaimi will forever be remembered as a caring, bright and loving soul who always put others before herself. Her love of flowers, cooking, art, decorating, photography, babies, the beach, and helping others will always be remembered.

'Our hearts are broken and the pain is unbearable but we cherish every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured and so loved first child.'

Lisa's update comes after her ex-husband, Grant Kenny, announced that their 'caring and loving' daughter had died at Sunshine Coast University Hospital on Monday morning. The family hasn't revealed the exact cause of death. Pictured: Lisa and Jaimi in an undated photo

Lisa thanked 'the paramedics, support staff and the incredible team' at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for the 'extra time we were able to spend with Jaimi'.

She added: 'It goes without saying that this is a very difficult time for our family and all who knew and loved Jaimi so very much.

'Rest in peace, my beautiful baby. I will miss you every sunrise, I will miss you when the sun is shining and the birds are singing. I will miss you when the clouds are dark and stormy and when the rainbow appears. I will miss you when I close my eyes. I will miss you when I open my eyes. I will miss our long hugs and long chats. I will miss watching, feeling and knowing your love for your sister and brother, your little nephew, Cleo, your Ma and dad.

'I just can't believe you're not here anymore. I sit and just shake my head. It doesn't seem real or right. You will forever be with me in my heart, Jaimi. I love you so much.'
