U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he can exert stress to more Chinese companies like tech giant Alibaba (BABA.N) later he transferred to prohibit TikTok.
Asked in a news conference if there were other specific China-owned firms he was contemplating a ban , for example Alibaba, Trump responded: "Well, we are looking at anything else ."
Trump has been piling pressure on Chinese-owned businesses, like by vowing to prohibit short-video program TikTok from the USA. America ordered its Chinese proprietor ByteDance on Friday to divest the U.S. surgeries of TikTok over 90 days, the most recent attempt to ramp up pressure over worries regarding the protection of the personal information it manages.
