Sophie Monk's BRUTAL response to former Bardot bandmates who slammed her for 'having the time' to appear on The Masked Singer - but not to do a reunion tour

There's no love lost between Sophie Monk and her former Bardot bandmates.

On Tuesday, the 40-year-old issued a withering response to Tiffani Wood, after she called Sophie out for 'having the time' to appear on The Masked Singer but not to do a Bardot reunion tour.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Sophie insisted she's had nothing to do with the other members of the girl group since they disbanded in 2002.

'I haven't spoken to the girls for 18 years, except for one of them,' Sophie shrugged.   

'I didn't hear about a reunion. I didn't think this year it was possible to do anything, really,' she added, referencing the travel bans and venue closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday night, Tiffani took an almighty swipe at Sophie after she was revealed as the Dragonfly on The Masked Singer.

Tiffani, 42, shared footage to Instagram of Sophie on the Channel 10 singing show, and wrote sarcastically: 'I thought Sophie was too busy for a Bardot reunion.'

'I mean... she's wearing a dragonfly costume, singing on a stage, while I have to try and get six kids to sleep before the show comes on,' she added. 

She also ridiculed Sophie's friendship with judge and radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson, saying: 'Think I'll go one step further and predict a new single release.

'Coming to a radio station near you and played by her bestie Jackie O first.'  

Fellow Bardot bandmate Sally Polihronas seemed to agree with Tiffani, reposting her Story alongside the word 'BOOM'.  

Back in April, Tiffani told the Courier Mail that Sophie was trying to distance herself from the band and 'doesn't like any association'.

'Sophie doesn't like the association with Bardot. Anything that's tagged with Bardot on her page she deletes,' she said. 

'A fan pointed that out to me, I've been blocked by Sophie on Instagram, so I used another profile and had a look and she's deleted most references to Bardot, which is where she came from.'

'Chris Hemsworth still talks about starting on Home and Away. Kylie Minogue honours Neighbours and Charlene; she may not have the same career without that. To me, it's just logical to be grateful about how you got your start,' Tiffani added.

The group also made an appearance on The Morning Show that month, but Sophie was absent from the band's line-up, despite being one of the original members.

When asked about her whereabouts, Tiffani revealed she hadn't spoken to Sophie since the group's split in 2002.

'I haven't spoken to her in 18 years. As far as I know, the answer to joining a Bardot is no. I don't know why. I think she is doing bigger and better things, maybe. I'm probably the wrong person to ask,' she said.

In May, The Daily Telegraph reported that Sophie's representative had confirmed she would not be taking part in a reunion tour.

Bardot formed on television series Popstars in the year 2000. Coincidentally, the show was hosted by a young Jackie O.
