'I am seriously hooked on this': 'Wine snobs' claim this $6 Aldi shiraz is better than expensive drops - and it comes in one litre bottles
A self-proclaimed 'wine snob' has praised a $6 bottle of shiraz from Australian Aldi stores.
Posting to the Aldi Mums Facebook group, Danielle said she 'highly recommends' the $5.99 'Small Talk' Shiraz, which is available in a one litre bottle.
'I'm a total red wine snob, Penfolds come at me! My friend got me into this and for $6 for a 1L bottle seriously get out of town I'm hooked! Highly recommend guys,' she said online.

According to the product description, the red wine is made in a south eastern region of Australia and is best paired with red meat, such as beef sausages or steak.
Other social media users part of the Facebook group agreed and said the Aldi wines taste 'fabulous'.
The 'Small Talk' Shiraz has also received hundreds of positive reviews on the Vivino website, where customers have said the $6 bottle is 'great value' and 'good for a casual weeknight red'.
'Not bad for $6. Very easy to drink, nothing sinister, pleasant straight out of the bottle and a nice aftertaste,' one person said online.
'Sensational value for money from Aldi,' another added.
Aldi also sells an abundance of other budget bottles of wine, including the Little Birdwood Shiraz, One Road shiraz and McLaren Vale bygone shiraz.
'This Little Birdwood Shiraz from Aldi is not a bad drop for $4.99. I've tried the other more expensive ones from there, but find this one better,' one woman said and shared a photo on Facebook.
'Do yourself a favour and grab a bottle of this (McLaren Vale bygone shiraz) at your next shop! $9.99 and a fabulous drop!' another shopper said.

A third added: 'My favourite is the One Road red wines from Aldi. So yum!!'
'We did a wine tour in the Hunter a few days ago and the guide confirmed that Aldi do have a range of really great wines,' another said.
The wines are available at Aldi store locations, though stock may vary.
