Simon Cowell has declared he is not gay – but claims he isn’t bothered a bit if people think he is.
The music mogul, who has never married despite dating a string of beauties, insists he is not worried by rumours about his sexuality.
He said: “I couldn’t care less because it’s nothing to be ashamed of. If I was living 200 years ago in a coal mine, maybe, but I work in possibly the gayest industry in the world.”
The X Factor boss, who starred in a hilarious spoof wedding with comedian David Walliams for Comic Relief, claimed it would make “no difference” to his life or career. He added: “A lot of my friends are gay, but I’m not and don’t even think that way any more. It feels like such an antiquated question.”
