Miley Cyrus' ring is off -- for now, at least. On Wednesday night (March 6), the 20-year-old singer headed to a recording studio in an all-black outfit, complete with spiked leather coat. Not in the mood to smile for photographers, the former Hannah Montana star was missing one major accessory: Her engagement ring from fiance Liam Hemsworth. Designed by Neil Lane, the bauble -- Hemsworth, 23, proposed last June -- features 3.5 carats, with a center stone that dates back to the 19th century.
The LOL star stepped out sans bling hours after denying that she and her former Last Song costar Hemsworth are on the outs. "I didn't call off my wedding," she tweeted. "Taking a break from social media. #draining."
Sources close to the couple tell a different story about the young Hollywood pair. "Liam and Miley are done," a pal says in the new Us Weekly, out now. "She says she's over it," the friend adds of the star, who's now busy recording her fourth album after putting her own career on hold to be with the Hunger Games star.
