J.Lo's demanding too much news trending all over the webstes. Jenifer Lopez demands were allegedly a little too much for the India’s Premier league of cricket.
Slated to perform at the opening ceremony for the IPL-Indian Premier League, J. Lo reportedly had a series of outlandish requests that caused the league to nix the deal and leave the diva hanging.
Sources told the New York Post that J. Lo’s demands included a private plane and a number of hotel rooms for her huge entourage of stylists, assistants, and a personal chef.
“The demands made on behalf of Jennifer were outrageous,” a source told the New York Post. “She effectively priced herself out of the event. It was an idiotic move because the audience for this event is huge. It’s like the Super Bowl halftime show. Last year it drew 56 million viewers.”
Facing a laundry list of demands, the Pepsi IPL decided to end the deal with Jennifer Lopez and instead book rapper Pitbull for Tuesday’s opening ceremony.
J. Lo’s rep claimed that the reason for the canceled concert was more simple frustration anger over demands.
“An offer was made to perform; the date conflicted with Jennifer’s current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer,” the rep said.
J. Lo’s demands have become famous in the music world. At a 2001 interview with the BBC, she reportedly showed up with a 90-person entourage and demanded nine dressing rooms for the group.
Lopez also required a body double for a 2011 Fiat commercial that was supposed to show her driving around her native Bronx — in reality J. Lo never left California to film the commercial.
Past jobs have also been jeopardized because of J. Lo’s demands. In 2010, it was rumored that American Idol was close to canceling her contract because of the singer’s “unreasonable demands,” which included a $20 million salary each year, a personal army of assistants and stylists as well as a “dressing room compound.
