Female thieves who are pouncing on wealthy men and forcefully removing their Rolex watches in exclusive neighbourhoods strike for a fifth time

Two female thieves who are targeting wealthy men in exclusive neighbourhoods for their Rolex watches have struck for a fifth time.

This time one of the women approached a man aged in his 70s in a car park in the retirement town of Highcliffe, Dorset.

She grabbed the Rolex watch from off his left wrist and made off in a waiting car.

Dorset Police have made a public appeal for information after the latest victim was targeted for his watch in the retirement town of Highcliffe, Dorset

The victim was left with bruising to his wrist and in a state of distress at the loss of the sentimental timepiece.

It is the latest in a string of identical thefts of Rolex watches suffered by male victims in the Dorset area.

In May this year a man aged 70s had his watch stolen by one of the two women who had stopped him in the street in exclusive Sandbanks.

She suddenly grabbed his arm and forcefully removed his Rolex before getting into a car.

Last month a man aged in his 80s lost his watch when one if them jumped into the passenger seat of his car in a car park in Wareham.

When the man told her to get out she grabbed and scratched at his arm. Only later did he realise his watch had been taken in the bizarre exchange.

Then earlier this month a woman walked up to a man aged in his 70s in the car park of the exclusive Ferndown Golf Club and simply grabbed his arm and took the watch from his wrist.

She got into a waiting vehicle, believed to be a black Ford Focus that was being driven by a man, and they made off from the scene.

The next day the duo approached a man aged in his 60s in Wimborne and asked him to sign a document for a charity.

The women are said to be white, aged between 25 and 40, and between 5ft 6ins to 5ft 9ins tall. One has dark hair and the other is a blonde.

Two of the victims noticed they spoke with a foreign accent and were well dressed.

Police are appearing for witness and have urged men to remain vigilant, especially if they are wearing an expensive watch.

Police Constable Jim Perks, of Christchurch police, said: 'We have had a number of incidents of a similar nature and I would again remind people to be vigilant and be particularly careful if you are wearing any high value watches or jewellery and are approached in suspicious circumstances.'

Referring to the latest theft, PC Perks added: 'This watch was of sentimental value to the victim as well as being expensive and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to try and identify the woman responsible for this robbery.

'I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed any suspicious activity, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please come forward.

'I would also ask that anyone who was driving in the area around the time and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle please checks their footage for anything of relevance.'
