Soccer coach 'secretly videotaped young girls changing

A 40-year-old Missouri girls' soccer coach has been charged with child pornography after he secretly videotaped his young players changing clothes and molested one of them, police said.

Joel D. White, of Lee's Summit, was arrested in March in Commerce City, Colorado, on suspicion of stealing jerseys and memorabilia, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court.


While he was in custody, officers discovered several cameras and media memory cards in his possession, which were found to contain images and videos of nude underage girls.

One of the videos shows White, a father himself, positioning a camera at knee level pointing upwards and leaving the room moments before the young girls enter. The camera captures them fully naked.

At least two of the girls seen on the videos were on the soccer team White coached, the girls' parents told Fox News.


Police obtained a warrant and searched White's home on April 22. During questioning, police say the coach admitted filming at least four girls without their knowledge between 10 and 15 times as they were getting changed in his home.

He also admitted to kissing and inappropriately touching one girl while she was sleeping and recording the molestation, police say. The girls were all 11 and 12 years old.


White faces 15 to 30 years in prison if he's convicted.


A note on the Lee's Summit Soccer Association's website says the club is aware of the on-going investigation of one of it's coaches.


'Our organization is cooperating with the Lee's Summit Police Department's investigators,' the association wrote.


White remains in federal custody.
