Kate Upton prom, High school senior Jake Davidson is on a mission to get Sports Illustrated cover model Kate Upton to be his date to his prom on May 23, 2013.
In a now-viral video he posted on March 16, Davidson pops the prom question while trying to impress Upton with his shirtless bod, workout routine, good hygiene and sense of humor.
"I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day –- and I can't dance. At all," the L.A. resident jokes. "You're Christian, 5'10", and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for best short film. You could say this is destiny."
Other things they have in common? Upton, 20, is on the cover of Sports Illustrated -- and Davidson reads Sports Illustrated!
"I'm going to be real with you here, I don't have a girlfriend," Davidson confesses. "Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity. And that, is what you have here today. A chance to make a nice guy's senior year the best ever."

"Kate, we can ride around all night long -- till 11, that's my curfew," he continues. "But really, it would mean the world to me if you came and I would do anything to make sure you get here."
With a nice suit on and red roses in hand, Davidson gets down on one knee in the video and asks, "So Kate, will you go to prom with me?" Fade out to "Kate prom?" written in the sky.
For good measure, Davidson also proposed a prom date to Upton via Twitter. "Kate Upton, you are the most beautiful woman in the world!" he wrote. "Please do me the great honor of going to prom with me!"
The two-time Sports Illustrated cover star has yet to give him a response.

I still remember the stress of trying to find a date to my high school prom. I mean, it's your last year and you really want to make it a night to remember. And while many may shoot high in terms of their date, one teen decided to go a bit above and beyond the norm by asking - wait for it - Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit 2013 issue cover model Kate Upton. Check it out.
The adorable and endearing request was posted on YouTube by Talia Myers (who directed the video), but actually comes from teen Jake Davidson out of Los Angeles, Calif. And guess what? Kate Upton actually responded on Twitter! Kate writes back in her tweet to Jake:
you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)
Luckiest. Boy. Ever! I suppose the lesson in this surreal moment would be that high school boys everywhere should start taking notes on young Jake's smooth moves in order to start planning their own prom attempts at shooting for the stars (by that I mean movie stars and other celebrities, of course). Or you could just go with someone you really like and know you'll have a great time with, like your blogger here once did. Either way, just make sure to have a good time!
