The "Twilight" star's rep confirmed the fire to People, saying: "The cause is undetermined."

A source told People that the 26-year-old actress' two fox terriers were in the apartment at the time of the fire, but rescuers were only able to save one.

TMZ reports that at least 10 fire trucks were on the scene at the seven-story building.

The actress' dog reportedly died under the bed.

Pippa dropped

Pippa dropped, It was dropped by literary agent after the book tanked for being just too ordinary, Pippa Middleton has been dropped by her literary agent, according to new reports out on Friday.

Pippa, the sister of Duchess Kate Middleton, recently release her long-awaited first book, "Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends......christianpost.

" However, the book did not get rave reviews, and comments on the book were lukewarm. Sales also did not kick in as good as expected, and it appears that this has led to Pippa being dropped by her agent.

Pippa's published, Michael Joseph, was reported to have offered her $600,000 for the rights to publish her party planning book, which was a massive amount for someone to receive for a first time commission.Despite the publicity surrounding the book, it only managed to sell 2,000 copies in its first week on sale.

Sales were so bad that some outlets slashed prices on the book to 50 percent or 75 percent off, hoping to shift their stock of the item. Now just months later, agent David Godwin has said that he has parted ways with Pippa. He has issued a short statement saying that he was "very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa and I wish her every good luck."

The news comes as Pippa's sister was also in the news this week. Kate Middleton was given a "Baby on Board" badge by London's subway workers on Wednesday. The workers gave the pregnant Duchess the badge explaining that should she ever need to take a subway train her badge would help allow other commuters know she is pregnant and give up a seat for her.

Of course Middleton, whose husband Prince William is currently second in line to the British throne, is highly unlikely to ever travel on London's underground system. However, she received the badge with a laugh and good humor, telling the workers that she would wear it at home.

Middleton was visiting Baker Street station in central London, which is a station famous for its connection with fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes. The Duchess was there to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of London's subway system, which is also known affectionately as the Tube.

The badge was given to Middleton by worker, Howard Collins, who later told reporters that the Duchess recognized the badge, having traveled many times on the Tube in the past prior to her marriage to Prince William.

Aurora shooter Islam

James Holmes, the man accused of killing 12 people last July at a midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado, has reportedly converted to Islam.

Holmes has exhibited extremely erratic behavior since his arrest on July 20, after a shooting that left 12 dead and 58 people wounded. He has since reportedly converted to Islam, observing a strict Muslim diet, studying the Qur’an, and praying up to five times a day. Holmes was in court last month wearing a beard, which one source says is a symbol of his new-found faith.

The source also said that Holmes converted to Islam in order to justify his crimes.

“He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,” a source told The National Enquirer, a tabloid.

The source continues that Holmes’ Muslim inmates are unhappy with his conversion to the religion.

“None of them condone forms of terrorism or extremism,” the source said. “And they don’t want their religion to be connected to that awful shooting.”

Holmes is charged with 166 counts of murder and attempted murder. A Colorado judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf earlier this month. If convicted, Holmes could spend the rest of his life in jail, or possibly be put to death.

Prosecutors haven’t said whether they’ll pursue the death penalty yet, but will make their decision public on April 1. Holmes’ own lawyers have raised questions about his mental health. He was allegedly held, with restraints, in the psychiatric ward for several days last fall, because he was considered a danger to himself.

Being that it is a tabloid report, the possibility that James Holmes has converted to Islam is more than a little doubtful. The Enquirer has reported solid expos├ęs in the past regarding John Edwards and Tiger Woods, but most of their daily coverage has been criticized for falling short of basic industry standards.

Do you think reports that James Holmes has converted to Islam are true?

The recent conversion to Islam by Aurora, Colorado shooter James Holmes has drawn criticism from other Islamic inmates that do not dub his actions as representative of their belief system.

As we have relayed in previous news articles, Holmes went on a shooting spree during a July 20 Dark Knight screening in Colorado and took the lives of 12 people.

58 more were wounded when he opened fire in the cinema, while donning orange hair and make-up reminiscent of the Batman character, the Joker.

“None of them condone forms of terrorism or extremism. [...] And they don’t want their religion to be connected to that awful shooting,” one source is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying.

The shooter has now taken to praying five times a day and insiders claim that his new-found religious inclination is meant to justify his actions, in a bid to convince himself and others that he has acted out of a desire to rid the world of non-believers.

“He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,” the source notes.

His hair is now dark brown and he has let his beard grow, presumably in accordance with Islamic standards for a man's appearance. A large part of his days in prison are spent studying the Qur'an, and the inmate has also opted for a Muslim diet.

In January, we mentioned that Holmes' attorney might pursue an insanity plea in his upcoming trial, but the strategy has not been confirmed at this point.

A non-guilty plea has been put forward earlier this month, as the prosecution and the defense prepare for the trial to commence on August 5.

On April 1, the state will reveal whether or not they will be asking for the death penalty in the Batman shooter's case.

Police search for shooter after Ga. infant killed

Police are searching for two young suspects in Brunswick, Ga., on Friday after a shooter fired on an toddler being pushed by his mother in a stroller, killing the 13-month-old boy.

At a news conference Friday, Brunswick Police Spokesman Todd Rhodes said officers have received more than 30 leads in the case and are encouraging citizens to come forward if they have any information on the shootings.

"We will not rest until somebody has been arrested for this senseless act," Rhodes said.

WTLV reports the mother and her toddler were on a morning walk Thursday, when they were approached by two suspects and shot, Brunswick Police Chief Tobe C. Green said.

The two suspects are described as black males, one age 13 to 15 and the other age 10 to 12.

Rhodes said the toddler was shot with a handgun, which has not been recovered, according to CNN.

Several people in the neighborhood called 911 after they heard the gunshots fired, but Rhodes said investigators believed that the mother was the only witness to what happened. Rhodes described the neighborhood as safe.

Brunswick police are checking the attendance records of area schools to see who was missing or absent from class Thursday, WTLV reported. The town is about 80 miles south of Savannah.

The Brunswick Police Department is "aggressively and actively searching for the suspects," Rhodes told WTLV.

The mother, Sherry West, described the incident in a tearful interview with WAWS-TV of Jacksonville. "He said 'I'm going to kill you if you don't give me money,' and I said, 'I swear I don't have any,'" she said.

West said she tried to protect her baby, Antonio Santiago, but shots rang out. "I put my arms over my baby, and he shoves me, and then he shot my baby right in the head," she told WAWS-TV.

Brunswick, Georgia

Rhodes told WJXT that the mother suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

"She is cooperating as fully as she can possibly cooperate, providing the best information that she has, given what she has gone through" Brunswick Mayor Bryan Thompson told WJXT. "She is, for right now, the only eyewitness we have."

Brunswick police, who went door-to-door searching for the suspects Thursday, are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Rhodes said they have found no motive in the shootings.

The mother lives in a rented house in the Brunswick's Old Town historic district. Beverly Anderson's husband owns the property, and she told AP that West has lived there for six or seven years. Anderson said she spoke with her yesterday to extend her condolences and see if there was anything she could do for her.

"We're just very sorry about what happened and very aghast that something could happen in our little neighborhood," Anderson told AP. "It's a quiet, safe little neighborhood."

Anderson said people walk up and down the street, children walk to school and families are frequently outdoors. "It's scared everybody," she said. "They don't feel so safe outside."

She said West stayed home to care for her baby, who was often spotted in his mother's arms.

"The house has a front porch with a swing, and we'd see him out on the swing with his mother," Anderson said. "He was a happy, cheerful baby."

Kate Upton prom

Kate Upton prom, High school senior Jake Davidson is on a mission to get Sports Illustrated cover model Kate Upton to be his date to his prom on May 23, 2013.

In a now-viral video he posted on March 16, Davidson pops the prom question while trying to impress Upton with his shirtless bod, workout routine, good hygiene and sense of humor.

"I'm Jewish, 5'9" on a really good day –- and I can't dance. At all," the L.A. resident jokes. "You're Christian, 5'10", and that Cat Daddy video should have won an Oscar for best short film. You could say this is destiny."

Other things they have in common? Upton, 20, is on the cover of Sports Illustrated -- and Davidson reads Sports Illustrated!

"I'm going to be real with you here, I don't have a girlfriend," Davidson confesses. "Kate, great moments are born from great opportunity. And that, is what you have here today. A chance to make a nice guy's senior year the best ever."

"Kate, we can ride around all night long -- till 11, that's my curfew," he continues. "But really, it would mean the world to me if you came and I would do anything to make sure you get here."

With a nice suit on and red roses in hand, Davidson gets down on one knee in the video and asks, "So Kate, will you go to prom with me?" Fade out to "Kate prom?" written in the sky.

For good measure, Davidson also proposed a prom date to Upton via Twitter. "Kate Upton, you are the most beautiful woman in the world!" he wrote. "Please do me the great honor of going to prom with me!"

The two-time Sports Illustrated cover star has yet to give him a response.

I still remember the stress of trying to find a date to my high school prom. I mean, it's your last year and you really want to make it a night to remember. And while many may shoot high in terms of their date, one teen decided to go a bit above and beyond the norm by asking - wait for it - Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit 2013 issue cover model Kate Upton. Check it out.

The adorable and endearing request was posted on YouTube by Talia Myers (who directed the video), but actually comes from teen Jake Davidson out of Los Angeles, Calif. And guess what? Kate Upton actually responded on Twitter!  Kate writes back in her tweet to Jake:

you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule ;)

Luckiest. Boy. Ever! I suppose the lesson in this surreal moment would be that high school boys everywhere should start taking notes on young Jake's smooth moves in order to start planning their own prom attempts at shooting for the stars (by that I mean movie stars and other celebrities, of course). Or you could just go with someone you really like and know you'll have a great time with, like your blogger here once did. Either way, just make sure to have a good time!

Jennifer Capriati charged, with stalking

Jennifer Capriati charged, Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati was questioned for numerous battery and stalking allegations stemming from a Valentine's Day domestic incident at a Florida health club, The Palm Beach Post reports.

Pictures: Ex-tennis star accused of stalking, battery

Police said there was probable cause to arrest 36-year-old Capriati for "battery for punching and pushing" her ex-boyfriend Ivan Brannan Jr. and "stalking Brannan on a constant basis from phone calls, text messages, showing up at his gym, his place of work and following him" in recent months, according to a police report.

The former world No. 1 player was not arrested and it was unclear Saturday whether she will be charged, according to the newspaper. It will be up to a judge to decide whether to issue an arrest warrant.

Natalie Mikolich, a spokesperson for Capriati, denied the allegations and called them "an over-exaggeration," according to the Post.

Brannan reportedly complained about Capriati's behavior to the police eight times since they ended their 10-month relationship in February, the newspaper reports.

According to the Feb. 14 police report, Capriati walked into a health club in North Palm Beach, Fla. and punched Brannan four times in the chest. A yoga instructor broke up the fight and Brannan locked himself in the locker room and called the police. He later showed them the red marks on his chest, the Post reports.

Capriati reportedly drove off after the incident, and police pulled her over blocks away from the gym. Mikolich called the police report "one-sided" and said Capriati "will have a new announcement in the upcoming days," according to the newspaper.

Brannan also provided police with seven other incident reports in which Capriati allegedly harassed and stalked him constantly after their break-up, according to the Post. Police advised Capriati in June 2012 to avoid contacting her ex-boyfriend.

Brannan reportedly tried to get a court injunction in August 2012 for protection against Capriati, but he was denied.

Jon Hamm rumor, Gets ground as 'Mad Men'

Jon Hamm rumor, A Jon Hamm that the actor was ordered to wear underwear in an effort to tone down the bulge of his private parts on-screen is trending online. According to a March 21 report on Los Angeles Times, an AMC insider close with the situation claims Hamm had been wearing underwear to minimize the distraction of his man parts in "Mad Men" season 6.

Hamm plays the lead role of Don Draper on the highly popular series based on the professional and personal lives advertising executives in New York City.

The insider went on to reveal that several promotional photos for "Mad Men" had to be digitally edited in order to hide the "distracting" areas on Hamm.

When Hamm was asked about the rumors circulating like crazy about this latest news flash, he shrugged off the question.

Hamm said he had heard about the rumor, "but I don't need to talk about that," he said

In a Star magazine report last year there was a Jon Hamm rumor similar to the recent one. A photo of him in shorts had a caption that read his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, was tired of him not wearing underwear in public because it showed off his package too much.

If a man is proud enough of his package, he may feel there's no reason to hide it! A lot of women would agree.

Naked bathers flee fire

Naked bathers flee fire, Several naked bathers were recently forced to flee a fire in a Chinese bathhouse.

Authorities said the blaze that ripped through a bathhouse in Leqing, Zhejiang province spread so rapidly that many people didn’t have a chance to put on their clothes. This caused several nude bathers to run out onto the street as fire consumed the building.

“One minute I was soaking in the tub, the next I could smell smoke and hear screams. There was no time to get my clothes. I just ran for my life,” one naked bather who fled the fire explained.

One person reportedly died in the blaze that consumed the bathhouse in China. Six people were injured as a result of the fire.

Officials believe the problem started in a neighboring apartment. Reports indicate that the blaze soon spread the the rest of the block. This ultimately forced several naked people to flee from the bathhouse as the smoke and fire filled the building.

“A gas pipe fractured in an apartment kitchen which then exploded, The fire spread very rapidly and we were lucky that more people didn’t die,” authorities explained.

Several photographs snapped during the incident show firefighters attempting to control the blaze as naked bathers wander the street. It didn’t take long for a crowd to gather outside of the building to watch the bathhouse burn.

Sadly, this isn’t the first fire to cause death and destruction in China’s Zhejiang province over the past few days. Eight people died and 17 were injured when a fire spread throughout a residential area last month.

Authorities stated that the fire managed to destroy three houses before fire officials were able to get the blaze under control. Those who suffered injuries during the incident were expected to survive. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Investigators are still looking into the fire that caused several naked bathers to flee the bathhouse in a panic.

3 Marines, including gunman, dead in shooting at Marine Base

Authorities say a Marine shot and killed two fellow service members at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia before killing himself early Friday.

Sgt. Christopher Zahn tells Fox News the shooter was found dead of a self inflicted gunshot wound and two others were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Associated Press reports authorities entered the barracks where the suspect had barricaded himself early Friday after allegedly killing one Marine and found the suspect dead along with another victim.

The standoff began after a shooting on the base around 11 p.m. Thursday.

No names have been released, but Lt. Agustin Solivan says the suspect and both victims were Marines. Solivan says authorities believe the suspect was a staff member at the officer candidate school on the base.

The base had been put on lockdown but the lockdown has been lifted.

A post on the base's Facebook page had urged residents to stay inside with their doors locked and follow any instructions from the base intercom system.

Crash Kills 6, Injured 9

Crash Kills 6, A crash killed 6 people and injured 9 others in Texas after police chased a truck said to be crammed with undocumented immigrants.

Police said there were 15 people in the truck that slammed into a security barrier at a Navy facility in Texas. Ten people were in the truck’s cab while another five were under a tarp in the truck’s bed, said John Gagne, spokesman for Naval Air Station Kingsville.

The chase started late on Wednesday when the pickup sped past an officer at the base’s man gate, prompting a chase from police. Guards at the base put a pop-up barrier outside a second security post, and the GMC truck slammed into it at full speed, causing the crash the killed 6.

Police said that wasn’t the intention.

“That’s exactly what the barrier is designed to prevent,” Gagne said, referring to the driver’s behavior. “It’s quite possible this guy didn’t even know where he was.”

At close to 12:33 am, the Department of Public Safety was called to the scene of the crash. Officials said no one other than those in the truck were injured.

The 6 people killed all died instantly, authorities said, and the injured were taken to local hospitals by ambulance and air. The US Border Patrol classified the passengers as undocumented immigrants.

The front gate at the base was closed to all outgoing traffic after the crash. Another gate at Caesar Street was open to both incoming and outgoing traffic until further notice, authorities said.

It was the second high-speed chase in Texas within a matter of hours. Police said a crash that took place midday Thursday in Montague County may have been related to the killing of a Colorado prison chief 700 miles away earlier in the week.

Police said the driver of a Cadillac fired at police during and after the chase. He was shot by police and was said to be “legally deceased,” though he was being kept on a ventilator until his organs could be donated.

The names of the 6 people killed in the crash were not released.

300 guns seized

300 guns seized, An arsenal of more than 300 guns, many of them illegal, has been seized from a Long Island home around the corner from a high school, and the homeowner was arrested, authorities said Thursday.

Jay Steiner, 66, was arrested in late January after an undercover Suffolk police officer visited his Centereach home.

Steiner has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and is free on bail.

"Wow!" said one surprised neighbor. "That's a lot of guns. It's scary."

Police were acting on a tip from a gun owner who had taken his weapon to Steiner, said Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota.

"The guns were stored all throughout the house," said Spota, as he stood in front of a table filled with the seized weapons.

In all, 85 illegal handguns and 230 rifles and shotguns were found, as well as thousands of rounds of ammunition.

"He had more firepower than the detectives who arrested him," said Spota.

Investigators said Steiner had once held a federal gun license, permitting him to buy and sell weapons, but it expired in 2004.

Steiner maintained a business card, prosecutors said, displaying that expired license number.

Several calls to Steiner's lawyer, William Eppig of West Islip, were not returned.

It's unclear what the Centereach man was doing with all the guns.

The guns are being examined to determine whether any have been stolen or used in crimes.

Steiner had no pistol license for any of the handguns, according to Spota.

Malcom Jamal Warner splits

Malcom Jamal Warner splits, Theo Huxtable is once again a single man. After over two years of dating, Malcolm-Jamal Warner has split with girlfriend Regina King, a source confirms to Us Weekly -- and it wasn't the most amicable of partings. "He said he wasn't feeling it anymore," the source adds, explaining that Warner, 42, asked King and her young son (with ex-husband Ian Alexander Jr.) to move out of the house they shared. "She's still very brokenhearted," says the insider of the Southland actress, 42.

Friends since the 1980s when both were child TV stars -- Warner on The Cosby Show and King on 227 -- the twosome only rarely opened up about their romance. "I believe the universe has a plan, and we probably wouldn’t have been ready years ago. We both had to do whatever we had to do to be ready for each other now," Jerry Maguire actress King told Parade in January 2012.

Said Warner in an October 2011 interview with BET: "We like to protect what we have because it's very special and very precious . . . But I will say that it’s a relationship that makes all the sense in the world."

The couple shot down engagement rumors in early 2011. King divorced Ian Alexander Sr. after a decade of marriage back in 2007. Warner has never wed and has no children.

"Malcolm and I have a lot in common," King told Essence in January 2011. "we've both been child actors and were also blessed to be raised by incredible mothers who instilled good values in us. Things are maturing nicely."
