Ronald Reagan’s son has hit out a Donald Trump and the current state of the Republican Party, insisting his father would be ‘horrified’ if he were alive to see what’s happening in the White House today. Speaking to CNN's Ana Cabrera on Sunday, Ron Reagan, the son of one of the most decorated Republican presidents in history, laid into the current administration and even admonished Trump’s family. When asked about the role Trump’s children have played during their father’s White House tenure and his re-election campaign, the 62-year-old accused them of being ‘grifters’ who were trying to profit off of his presidency. ‘They’re certainly entitled to campaign for their dad,’ Reagan said, adding he and his siblings did the same for their father. ‘When you cross the line is ― I hate to say it here, I don’t mean to be blunt, but we’ve got a bunch of grifters in the White House. They’re treating this as a grift,’ he continued. Scroll down for video  Speaking to CNN's Ana Cabrera on Sun...

Donald Trump's reelection campaign claims Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is 'encouraging assassination attempts' against the President after she appeared on TV with the numbers '8645' in the background.  Whitmer appeared on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday and accused Trump of inciting 'domestic terrorism' after his supporters chanted 'lock her up' at a rally in the state the night before.  She said that the rhetoric was 'incredibly disturbing' a little more than a week after authorities announced they had thwarted an alleged plot to kidnap the Democratic governor.  'The president is at it again and inspiring and incentivizing and inciting this kind of domestic terrorism,' Whitmer said.  'It is wrong. It's got to end. It is dangerous, not just for me and my family, but for public servants everywhere who are doing their jobs and trying to protect their fellow Americans. People of good will on both sides of the aisle need ...

The sister of a hiker who has been rescued in Zion after spending 12 days alone with no food and limited water says she is now recovering in the hospital on an IV, and that she has 'bruises'.  Holly Courtier, 38,  was rescued on Sunday, 12 days after vanishing in the Utah park.  She'd taken the bus there for a solo hike, leaving her phone at home, after losing her nannying job as a result of the pandemic.  The mother-of-one spent the time surviving on 'no food' and 'very little water' before a tipster led to her being found.  Someone who had been in the park phoned to alert authorities - who had been searching for her - that they saw her.  When she vanished, Holly's family set up a GoFundMe campaign with a goal of raising $15,000. They have so far raised more than $10,000. Holly Courtier's sister Jillian on Good Morning America on Monday morning talking about her being rescued Holly, shown with her daughter, had survived on 'no food at all' a...

TSA screened more than 1 MILLION passengers on Sunday - the first time since the pandemic hit the US in mid-March

Image
The US Transportation Security Administration said it screened more than 1 million airline passengers on Sunday for the first time since mid-March. The number, 1.03 million, is still about 60 per cent lower than the same day last year, but is a dramatic rise from the collapse in air travel demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Screening fell to as little as 87,000 in a single day in April. The previous high was 1.26 million screened on March 16. US airlines are collectively burning more than $5billion in cash a month and have failed to date to convince Congress to approve a new $25billion bailout that would have kept more than 32,000 workers on the payroll for another six months. American Airlines furloughed 19,000 workers, while United Airlines furloughed 13,000 workers. The US Transportation Security Administration said it screened more than 1 million airline passengers on Sunday for the first time since mid-March Screening (pictured in May 2020) fell to as little as 87,000 in...

Another Republican distances himself from Trump: Texas Sen. John Cornyn, 68, slams president for reckless spending and China rhetoric - as he faces tough race with Air Force pilot, 44, whose shrapnel wounds are covered up with tattoos

Yet another Republican senator has attempted to downplay their allegiance to Donald Trump, as the election edges closer and the president's prospects look increasingly worrying. John Cornyn, 68, is running for a fourth term as a senator for Texas, having been first elected in 2002. Before then he was the state's attorney general, and a judge before then. He has become just the latest Republican up for re-election to try and give the impression of distance from Trump, after Mitch McConnell was at pains to stress he had not been to the White House since August; Martha McSally repeatedly refused to answer if she was proud of her support for the president; and Ben Sasse told a private phone call he expected Trump to lose.  Cornyn's challenger, former air force pilot MJ Hegar, 44, has never won elected office before and yet nearly doubled Cornyn's fundraising over the past three months, eliminating his long-running cash-on-hand advantage.  Hegar's fundraising momentum is...
