Former AFL coach and premiership star Dani Laidley has been spotted in Melbourne, amid speculation she's planning to write a tell-all memoir about her life and transition into a woman. The former North Melbourne player and coach, 54, formerly known as Dean is believed to have already been approached about a potential book deal as her process of gender transitioning continues. Laidley rocked a casual all-black ensemble as she stepped out to run shopping errands in Melbourne on Saturday during week four of lockdown. She chose a casual outfit of skinny black jeans and a fitted athletic jacket as she ducked into the chemist to pick up essentials before heading home.  She matched her outfit with an incorrectly-fitted mask, leaving her nose uncovered, risking a fine of $200 if caught. 'We should give them a chance': UK Sharia Council scholar says the Taliban have 'grown up' and 'every Muslim I know' is celebrating their return as she accuses Western media of 'misrepresenting' their views on women's rights

Khola Hasan, from the UK's Islamic Sharia Council, told BBC Radio 4 that the Taliban's recent posturing on women's rights was a 'good start' A UK Islamic Sharia Council scholar has claimed that the Taliban have 'grown up' and British Muslims are 'celebrating' the return of the jihadi group to power.     Since taking over Afghanistan, the jihadi group has claimed it will not carry out violence against women, and will not 'seek vengeance' on those who stood against them during the brutal 20-year war in the region.  Sharia Council scholar Khola Hasan today told BBC Radio 4 that the Islamist group's recent posturing on women's rights was a 'good start', and 'every single person that I know, as a Muslim' was 'celebrating' their return.  She added: 'They have been ruled by foreigners for 40 years, let the people of Afghanistan rule their own country and determine their own fate for a change.'   Fears over rep

We need money and we need it now.  Delay for the next six or seven weeks and it's going to start becoming too late. People have nothing.  'We have to get food in now and get it to the communities in the provinces, before roads are blocked by snow.'   Ex-Army of

Pubs could run out of BEER for Bank Holiday: Landlords warn they may have to shut by the weekend with pumps running dry 'in days' after lorry driver strike hit supply chain

British boozers could be running dry by the August bank holiday after a strike action by lorry drivers caused severe supply chain issues. Around 1,000 draymen, who between them are responsible for around 40% of beer deliveries to pubs in Britain, voted in favour of industrial action over their pay this summer.  The pingdemic has also contributed to declining numbers of available lorry drivers, resulting in severe shortages of beer, wine and bar snacks.   Despite the industrial action being resolved earlier this week, pubs across the country are already desperately low on stock, and watering holes owned by the larger chains are the worst affected due to their reliance on imported beers.  Landlord Ian Ward, of The Spring Vale Inn, in Chadderton, Greater Manchester, said: 'We're really low and may have to shut Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.' John Wray, owner of the Venue, in Bolton, Greater Manchester, said: 'There's a growing concern we could run out.' Campaigners wa
