A father who brutally murdered his four-month-old daughter after she cried while he was playing Call of Duty has been jailed for a minimum of 16 years.   Jordan Lee, 29, who was given a life sentence at Preston Crown Court on Friday, was heard shouting at baby Willow Lee to 'shut up' before carrying out the 'horrific assault' on December 3 last year, a spokesman for Lancashire Police said. In police interview, Lee claimed Willow, who was teething at the time, suffered her injuries after falling from the sofa while he played a computer game at their home in Onslow Road, Blackpool. Jordan Lee has been jailed after killing his four-month-old daughter Willow at their Blackpool home But he was convicted by a jury after a Home Office pathologist found that the baby's death was a direct consequence of a traumatic head injury, consistent with forceful shaking and probable impact to the head, the police spokesman said. How I found the recipe for La Dolce Vita: Stuck in a rut, cookery writer SOPHIE GRIGSON had lost her zest for life - so she sold up in Britain and bought a £50k flat in a tiny Italian town... and the result is this delicious account of fantastico food

Sitting behind the steering wheel of my beloved ‘Aubergine’ — my nickname for my purple Chrysler PT cruiser — I suddenly realised that I was hopelessly stuck. I was attempting to navigate a maze of narrow streets in the heart of Gallipoli, the town in southern Italy.  I’d managed to get half-way round a corner, but was now unable to move forward — or backwards — without scraping the sides of the Aubergine. Somehow, my bumper had become hooked on some stone steps that thrust out into the alleyway. Around me, a crowd of bemused onlookers had gathered amid the scorching heat of the Italian summer, to see how on earth the pink-cheeked signora inglese would manage to extricate herself from this situation — a question I was also asking myself. My saviour came in the form of Marco, a genial local man who opened the driver’s side door. Waving me over to sit in the passenger seat, he said in heavily accented English: ‘You move, I drive.’ Burning with feminist indignation I might have been, but

Rio de Janeiro cops recover human remains near river while searching for three boys who were reported missing in December 2020

Authorities in Rio de Janeiro recovered human remains near a river where the bodies of three missing boys may have been dumped in December 2020. The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station made the gruesome discovery Friday morning, just two days after a man came forward and told authorities that his brother had a role in tossing away bags that contained the bodies of the missing children. Brazilian digital news outlet G1 reported authorities found bones that resembled ribs as well as strands of hair. The evidence was transferred to the forensic unit at the Institute of Legal Medicine. “We don’t know anything,” the uncle of one of the boys told online news portal Extra. “The police have not communicated anything to us officially. We still have the same suffering of not knowing what happened to the boys.” Lucas Matheus da Silva, 9; Alexandre da Silva, 11; and Fernando Henrique Ribeiro Soares, 11, were last seen together the morning of December 27, 2020. They had left their home in Ri

The adults were all vaccinated against COVID-19, Sierra-Caro said, and one has mild symptoms of the virus while the other three do not. They were not traveling together. EXCLUSIVE: Rogue MP John Stonehouse's mistress Sheila Buckley is pictured for first time in years as extraordinary story of how he faked his own drowning to run away with her to Australia is revealed

She was once the glamorous brunette whose lover, the notorious John Stonehouse MP, scandalised Westminster. The former Labour cabinet minister faked his own death and was jailed for seven years for fraud, but his loyal secretary-turned-wife Sheila Buckley stood by him to the end. More than 40 years on, Ms Buckley, now 80, cuts a very different figure in the secluded cul-de-sac where she now lives a sedate life, pruning her roses and helping clients with their tax returns. Her auburn locks have been replaced by grey and there is little hint of the sparkle in the green eyes that once captivated Stonehouse, the subject of two new biographies, who, despite being 21 years her senior, embarked on a torrid affair with her when she was working as his parliamentary secretary in the 1970s. John Stonehouse's mistress Sheila Buckley is pictured today some 47 years after she was at the centre of the rogue MP's spectacular downfall when he faked his own death. Ms Buckley was Stonehouse'
