Olympic swimming timing system under fire with ANOTHER controversial dead heat after Australia's Emma McKeon tied with Chinese rival despite clearly touching the wall first

The Olympic timing system for the swimming has been thrown into question again after four dead heats were recorded despite one of Australia's biggest stars clearly touching the wall first. The latest was on Tuesday night with Aussie swimmer Zac Stubblety-Cook and the Netherland's Arno Kamminga both being declared winners in their 200m breaststroke heat. Both swimmers did appear to touch the wall at the same time with the pool's sensors clocking them in at two minutes and 7.37 seconds.  After Tuesday night's breaststroke event, Olympic swimming legend and co-commentator Leisel Jones said the chances of so many athletes docking the same times was extremely rare.  'I've never seen so many dead heats in an Olympic Games,' she said on Seven.  Zac Stubblety-Cook and the Netherlands' Arno Kamminga both being declared winners in the 200m breaststroke heats on Tuesday night The pair did both appear to touch the wall at the same time with both swimmers clocking i

Britain's biggest travel insurance provider stops offering new policies just as school summer holidays begin and international travel industry reopens

Britain's largest travel insurance provider has stopped offering new policies just as schools shut for the summer holidays. Travel Insurance Facilities, which operates dozens of firms including HolidaySafe and Flexicover, blamed its German insurer for placing a 'temporary pause' on new sales to customers in Britain.  The umbrella company, known as TIFgroup, said existing policies would not be affected and holidaymakers would still be able to make claims. But those hoping to book insurance for summer getaways just as the international travel industry reopens will fall foul of the change. TIFgroup, which generated £30million in sales in the year to March 2020, will see sales plummet because of the ban. Its policies were, until recently, insured by Union Reiseversicherung , but it cut off supply to the UK while it reviews its regulatory requirements, reported The Times. Three young brothers of missing 5-year-old Tennessee girl Summer Wells are removed from family home by protective services because their father's been 'driven to drink'

The father of a 5-year-old Tennessee girl who disappeared last month said his three sons have now been taken away by child protective services - but he says that's probably for the best, according to a report. Donald Wells, whose daughter Summer Wells went missing from from her family home in June said 'it's probably better for them' that his sons were removed after he says he was driven to drink over rumors that continued to swirl over his daughter's disappearance.   'Right now, with everybody attacking us and all this stuff going on, it's probably better for them,' Wells said in an interview with the Jay is 4 Justice podcast over the weekend.  Summer was reported missing from her Rogersville home on June 15 around 5.30pm after her parents Donald and mother Candus Bly said she went into the basement alone and then vanished.
