A disabled man ran his electric wheelchair into a Christian preacher who was delivering a religious speech at an outdoor shopping centre.  The preacher had been calling on shoppers to accept God as he paced up and down Rundle Mall in Adelaide on Thursday. Body found in Shenandoah National Park is believed to be University of Virginia economics professor, 55, who disappeared on July 14

A body believed to be that of a missing Virginia university professor has been found in the Shenandoah National Park, officials said on Saturday. Julia Christine Devlin, a 55-year-old economics professor at the University of Virginia, was last seen in Charlottesville on July 14. On Saturday a body was found and, based on the preliminary identification of the remains, the search was suspended, the park said in a news release. Security footage showed Devlin's car entering the park late that on July 14, park officials have said.  Julie Devlin was last seen driving into Shenandoah National Park on July 14. Three days later the wreck of her car was found, and two weeks after she was last spotted a body was discovered Devlin's car was seen driving in to the park on July 14, and found wrecked on July 17 The park runs along the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Child dies after horror crash with car in upmarket housing estate during first days of school summer holidays

A child has died after a collision with a car in an upmarket housing estate on the first days of the school summer holidays. The youngster, whose identity has not yet been made public, was rushed to hospital after being involved in the horror crash in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on Tees on Friday July 23 at around 12.55pm. The child was fighting for their life in nearby James Cook Hospital as at least 10 police vehicles and five ambulances rushed to the scene in Wellbrook Close. A father-of-four off-duty cop has been killed in a freak accident while while watching his son play soccer when scaffolding fell on him. Andy Jones, 37, was at Mitchelton Football Club in Brisbane's north on Sunday when the structured collapsed and crushed him. His wife Rhianne mourned him as her best friend and father to their 'four beautiful kids' who died supporting one of them doing what he loved. 'We are absolutely devastated. One California deputy is shot dead and two others injured during hours-long standoff with gunman who barricaded himself inside building

A California Sheriff deputy has been shot and killed while two others have been injured at a shooting at a home in Wasco, California. Kern County Deputy Phillip Campas lost his life during an hours-long standoff on Sunday.  Campas was a father to two young girls and served Kern County on Patrol, SWAT and Honor Guard.  He had been a soldier in United States Marine Corps prior to his law enforcement career.
