Olympic hammer thrower Gwen Berry's history of offensive tweets has been uncovered after she snubbed the American national anthem during trials last weekend. Berry, 32, made a variety of tasteless jokes and observations in messages dating back up to ten years, but which are still visible on her account.  The athlete - who has insisted that the National Anthem is racist - posted tweets mocking Chinese, Mexican and white people. Posts also include ill-judged jokes about rape, suggestions she would 'stomp on a child', as well as using the word 'retarded', widely seen as being offensive and disrespectful, Fox News reported. The revelations come after Berry turned her back last weekend when the national anthem was being played after her Olympic qualifier. An African elephant was rescued last month after it become stuck in the mud and began sinking into the ground.  Dr Kieran Avery, 34, from Kenya, was part of the small team that made the dramatic rescue of the female elephant after she became stuck in the waters on the edge of a dam. The BBC has deleted its Bitesize revision guide's list of 'positive impacts' of climate change after caving to fury from environmental activists. The broadcaster faced furious backlash from environmental activists after sharing an online  GCSE revision guide that listed the creation of shipping routes due to melting ice and lower heating bills thanks to warmer winters among a list of 'benefits' .   Campaigners called the BBC Bitesize material for GCSE geography students an ‘absolute disgrace’. The BBC said it decided to remove the list of ‘positive’ effects because it did not follow the national curriculum. String of new venues are added to Sydney's exposure site list with thousands told to isolate NOW - after beaches and parks in Covid hotspots were pack

A popular Woolworths, a Chemist Warehouse and a busy Sydney train line have been put on alert with hundreds urged to go into isolation immediately. New South Wales Health announced a string of new venues have been exposed to Covid-19 late on Saturday afternoon after the state recorded 35 new infections overnight.  Anyone who visited the Chemist Warehouse in Drummoyne on Tuesday June 29 from 10.30am to 10.40am has been urged to get tested and isolate until given a negative result.
