Pictures taken Thursday after Gail struck show outdoor dining sites blanketed in snow in the East Village of Manhattan, statues in Union Square turned white and people playing in the snow under Manhattan Bridge - a far cry from Tuesday's milder scenes. In Kennebunkport, Maine, a light dusting of snow Wednesday night was replaced the next morning by thick snow as the full force of Gail was felt through the small town.
