Hundreds of young people try to enter Harrods in chaotic scenes as police make four arrests for affray and Covid rule breaches as huge crowds gather in Covent Garden

Hundreds of teenagers and young people caused mayhem today while gathering outside Harrods in London, prompting four arrests after police swooped in. Chaotic scenes ensued at the luxury department store in exclusive Knightsbridge as the large group attempted to enter and crowded together in the streets outside.  The group was made up of hundreds of young people who were not wearing masks and were not paying attention to social distancing. Photographs showed people standing packed closely together, chatting and laughing with each other as they far outnumbered the police presence. Many of those in the group appeared to be heavily made up looking as though they were heading for a night out on the town. Police were called to the store just after 1pm and four arrests were made for affray and Covid rule breaches and the crowd later dispersed.  It comes as Covent Garden was also packed with revellers tonight in the first weekend following the lifting of the second nationwide lockdown restrict

Police break up huge party at Christmas market in Nottingham as crowds dance to music with very little social distancing

Police were forced to intervene after a huge party erupted at a Nottingham Christmas market on Saturday night. Vast swathes of rule-breaking revellers gathered as the city's legally-permitted festive street market descended into chaos. Partygoers were seen outside Nottingham's city hall, jumping up and down and raising their arms in the air as music blared.  A man wheeling a bike with two massive speakers mounted to the sides was seen speaking to officers in the clip. Footage also showed a van and several uniformed police dotted about in the heart of city - which fell into Tier Three after the nation-wide lockdown was lifted this week. Under the new rules, outdoor market stalls are permitted to keep trading but they must comply with national guidance.  Police were forced to intervene after a huge party erupted at a Nottingham Christmas market on Saturday night Outdoor market stalls are permitted to keep trading in Tier Three but they must comply with national guidance Vast

Huge blaze guts historic New York City church built back in 1891 - as nearly 200 firefighters try to save the structure from complete collapse

A huge fire has erupted in Manhattan's East Village, completely gutting the historic Middle Collegiate Church.  The blaze began inside a vacant five-story building on East 7th Street just before dawn on Saturday, before flames spread to the neighboring house of worship, which was built back in 1891.  Dozens of firefighters descended on the scene in a bid to save the structure, but its inside has been destroyed.  Four firefighters are reported to have sustained minor injuries while trying to douse the inferno.  Crews are still working to save the steeple of the church, according to ABC-7, but a commanding officer told New York state Senator Bard Hoylman that the structure may not stand.  Middle Collegiate is a Protestant church with around 1,300 congregants. The congregation is one of the oldest in the city, and the church housed the state's Liberty Bell.  Minister Amanda Ashcraft told ABC-7  that the sanctuary inside the church is 'not in good shape' and that 'beaut
