Florida high school principal who was fired and then rehired after refusing to say whether Holocaust was 'a factual, historical event' is once AGAIN fired after community backlash

A Florida high school principal was fired for the second time on Monday over a comment he made to a student's parent last year regarding the Holocaust. The Palm Beach County School Board's vote on Monday morning reversed an earlier decision to reinstate Spanish River High School Principal William Latson after his dismissal. Latson was fired in October 2019 after sparking outrage when he told a parent he 'can't say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event' because he wasn't in a position to do so 'as a school district employee.' He appealed his firing and an administrative law judge ruled in August that the school board had gone too far in firing him. That prompted the school board's 4-3 vote to reinstate him October 7. Former Spanish River Community High School Principal William Latson was again terminated after a unanimous vote by the Palm Beach County School Board on Monday On October 7 the school board reluctantly voted 4-3 to reinstate Latson

Furious Qantas boss blasts Annastacia Palaszczuk for playing a 'popularity game' by refusing to open Queensland to Sydney - as health experts tear her 'flimsy' medical reasoning to shreds

Annastacia Palaszczuk has been slammed for refusing to reopen the Queensland border to Sydneysiders when community transmission throughout the country is so low.  Residents in the Harbour City have been told they're too high a risk to travel to the Sunshine State - despite the city recording just one new local COVID-19 case on Monday.  NSW residents who have been outside of Sydney for at least 14 days will be able to 'travel freely' to and from Queensland without quarantining from 1am on Tuesday. Residents from all other states - except for Victoria - are able to travel to Queensland without quarantining as they are not considered to come from 'COVID-19 hotspots'.  Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce issued a fresh warning to Ms Palaszczuk, telling her: 'sometimes the popular decision isn't the right one'.  The Queensland Premier says the decision to reopen the border will likely be made at the end of the month and will be based on advice from Chief Health

North West Ambulance Service declares a major incident as dozens of 999 calls are left on hold with crews 'run ragged' after 'several paramedics isolated due to coronavirus'

North West Ambulance Service has declared a 'major incident' due to an exceptionally high volume of calls. The service - which covers areas including Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria - has urged those with non life-threatening injuries to take themselves to hospital or seek other care. People waiting for an ambulance have been told not to call 999 back to see how far away help is - but can call to say they no longer need an ambulance if necessary. Staff working for the North West Ambulance Service agreed to go without breaks for a two-hour period to tackle the mountain of call ins which the service says were not directly related to Covid-19. The force is currently handling 500 calls but it is not clear what has caused the massive surge, sources told Manchester Evening News. The service is said to be struggling as several paramedics are isolating due to Covid-19. North West Ambulance Service has declared a 'major incident' (the service

President Donald Trump stopped in Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton on Monday to attack his Democratic rival’s energy policy, warning it would be an ‘economic disaster’ to Pennsylvania. Trump repeated his claim Biden will ban fracking, which Biden has said he will not do. Fracking is a major industry in the state. ‘Biden’s plan to cut fracking will be an economic disaster for Pennsylvania,’ he said as the crowd of several thousand booed. He and Biden are battling it out for Pennsylvania – where Biden was born and Trump went to college. The state’s 20 electoral votes will help decide the winner of the White House. Polls show Biden with a slight lead but Trump became the first Republican in more than 20 years to win it when he took the state in 2016. ‘He left Scranton,’ Trump told the crowd of Biden. ‘This guy is a stone cold phony.’ Biden, in speeches on the campaign trail, tells of how he was born in Scranton but his family had to leave the area when he was young because his father lost
