GOP Lieutenant Governor is BOOED at Trump's Ohio rally after he encourages the president's supporters to wear face masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Ohio's GOP Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted has been booed at a Trump rally after he tried to encourage the President's supporters to wear face masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic.   The Republican politician took to the stage in front of 1,200 Trump supporters in Dayton on Monday evening, where he urged the crowd to cover their noses and mouths when out in public.  'I'm trying to make masks in America great again,' Husted enthusiastically told the unimpressed crowd after whipping out a red face mask with the words 'Trump 2020' emblazoned across it.  The audience instantly made their disapproval known, with loud jeers breaking out.  'Get off the stage,' one Trump supporter could be heard yelling in video shared on social media by The Recount.  Ohio's GOP Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted has been booed at a Trump rally after he tried to encourage the President's supporters to wear face masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic Husted then pulled out a secon

Billionaire Barry Diller says there is 'great speculation' in the stock market and urges everyone to save every nickel they have - as he calls TikTok deal 'a crock'

Billionaire businessmen Barry Diller has urged everyone to hoard cash, saying there is 'great speculation' in the stock market right now, as he calls TikTok's recent deal to partner with Oracle and Walmart 'a crock.' 'Personally, and professionally, every nickel you can, keep it in whatever bank, wherever it's banked,' said Diller, the chairman of IAC and Expedia Group, in an interview on Tuesday with CNBC's Squawk Box. 'Generally, I think for any speculation, and I think the market right now is a great speculation, I would stay home,' Diller said. Stock indexes on Tuesday halted a four-day losing streak, driven by fears of a new round of lockdowns in Europe and the deadlock in Congress over the size and shape of another coronavirus stimulus bill. Tragedy as hundreds more pilot whales are found stranded off Australia's coast - as rescuers concede most have already died and time is running out to save the rest

About 200 more pilot whales have been stranded on a shallow sandbar off Tasmania's west coast, bringing the total to more than 470. The majority of the pilot whales, which were discovered on Wednesday morning about five kilometres south of the original stranding site at Macquarie Harbour, have died.  Only 25 whales have been saved since the rescue effort was launched after 270 were spotted struggling in shallow water on Monday.  Rescue teams are now racing against the clock to save the whales, with Parks and Wildlife regional manager Nic Deka conceding time is quickly running out.  'I would expect that we would shift through a transition from rescue into the retrieval and disposal effort … we're just considering options at the present time,' he told the ABC.     more videos Heavy police presence on scene near Alyssa Milano's house Kobe Bryant's mother-in-law says Vanessa kicked her out of house Horrific moment Oklahoma State University bull rider is killed Ice

'You call one a loser, you call all the members of the military losers, including my son': John McCain's widow Cindy tears into Donald Trump as she endorses Joe Biden for president

Cindy McCain, the late Sen. John McCain's widow, formally endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday, rebuking President Donald Trump for his reported comments where he called members of the military 'losers.'  'My husband John lived by a code: country first. We are Republicans, yes, but Americans foremost. There's only one candidate in this race who stands up for our values as a nation, and that is @JoeBiden,' she tweeted on Tuesday evening, a few hours after Biden made the surprising announcement about her endorsement during a virtual fundraiser. Biden said Cindy McCain was endorsing him because of comments Trump was reported to have made about those in uniform, calling them 'losers' and 'suckers' in an article from The Atlantic that the president has denied.   'Maybe I shouldn't say it but I'm about to go on one of these Zooms with John McCain's wife, who is first time ever is endorsing me because of what h

Get your own House in order, Congressmen! As posturing US politicians meddle in Elgin Marbles debate – Americans are urged to look at their own record of plundering antiquities, destroying Native Indian culture… and what about Guam?

US Congressmen this week waded into the controversy over the British Museum's ownership of the Elgin Marbles, urging Boris Johnson to hand them back to Greece by 2021. 'The Marbles have been the source of controversy among western allies for many decades. Greece has long wanted these Parthenon Marbles back,' the 18 US lawmakers said in their letter to the Prime Minister.  The emphatic statement prompted derision from Blake Herzinger, an Indo-Pacific security analyst who has worked for the US Navy. 'For a country that only just returned some bells stolen in connection with an extraordinarily brutal occupation, we have strong opinions on the Elgin Marbles, apparently.' Herzinger tweeted, a reference to the Balangiga Bells seized from the Philippines in 1901. America's own track record on antiquities is not exemplary, from the invasion of Iraq to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, plenty of comparisons can be made to Britain's acquisition of the Parthe

Americans are talking more about politics, having less sex and men are helping out more with chores: Survey reveals how the pandemic, BLM protests and the election have changed family life in the US

It's no secret that the coronavirus pandemic has completely upended American life - both at home and at work.   Specific changes weathered over the course of this year were examined in detail by the 2020 American Family Survey released on Tuesday by researchers from The Deseret News and Brigham Young University.   Among the most compelling findings were that couples in the US are having less sex, talking more and feel that the pandemic has brought their families closer - even as more than a quarter of households have experienced economic hardships as a result.   In addition to coronavirus-related factors, the survey also looked at how America's turbulent summer of protests against racial inequality and the upcoming presidential election have affected family and romantic relationships.  It found that people are talking more about politics in general, with 73 percent of people discussing the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality with their loved ones.    The 2020 Ameri
