U.S. President Donald Trump currently has a confirmed accounts on TikTok competitor Triller, yet another indication of the White House's disfavor supporting the ByteDance-owned video-sharing program. Triller is just one of many TikTok choices that have undergone a surge of downloads because Trump signed an executive order on Aug. 6 which could prohibit certain transactions with TikTok unless ByteDance divests it in 45 days. TikTok is famous for viral dancing videos that catch the American adolescent zeitgeist, but U.S. officials also have voiced worries that consumer info could be passed from the Chinese-owned program to police in Beijing. However, with the business under a cloud, once-obscure opponents are stepping up their attempts to woo TikTok's youthful userbase. Trump's Triller accounts had three short videos and a bit more than 3,000 followers on Saturday. The Trump effort and Triller didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
