33-year-old GM hired earlier on Tuesday, word was filtering around the usual NBA circles that the Phoenix Suns were attempting to hire Los Angeles Clippers forward Grant Hill as the team’s new general manager. That potential hire would come on the heels of the disastrous regime of since-fired GM Lance Blanks, and the work of another big name ex-player in Steve Kerr. It appeared that the Suns, as run by former Hill representative Lon Babby, were diving deep into business as usual. It turns out that the team has decided to decidedly mix things up. Former Boston Celtics assistant GM Ryan McDonough is the team’s new personnel chief, and he’ll have quite the task ahead of him. The Phoenix Suns haven’t made the playoffs since 2010, and the team’s roster is filled with middling players with middle of the road contracts that, combined in an unholy alliance, only managed to win 25 games in 2012-13. 33-year-old GM hired by the professional basketball team Phoenix Suns on Tuesday after the team fell to the bottom of the NBA’s Western Conference in 2013. The Suns have hired Ryan McDonough to replace Lance Blanks as the teams new general manager in hopes of improving on a 25-57 record from this season. Hiring McDonough instantly raised questions as it’s rare to find a team with executives in their 30′s. Dating back to the creation of the league, only a few men have been named the general manager of an NBA team at such a young age, including Rick Sund and Rob Hennigan. Sund was named the Dallas Mavericks general manager in 1979 at the age of 28 to become the youngest ever to hold such a position. Hennigan is currently the youngest to oversee a team at 30-years-old. French tourist was eaten by vultures after she fell off a cliff and died in the French Pyrenees, on the border with Spain. “When we first went out in the helicopter looking for the body, we saw numerous vultures without realizing what they were doing,” Major Didier Pericou of the Gendarmerie told the Times of London . “There were only bones, clothes and shoes left on the ground. They took 45 to 50 minutes to eat the body.” The 52-year-old French woman’s name has not been released. Once the area has sustained ground temperatures of 64 degrees or more, no one will be able to miss them. The Miami Dolphins have canceled plans to renovate Sun Life Stadium. The Dolphins were hoping to get some public funding but the Florida House of Representatives didn’t pass the proposal. Without the public’s help, the team has announced that it was cancelling its plans to renovate the stadium. SB Nation reports that the bill would have raised the hotel bed tax cap from six to seven percent. The team was also hoping to get about $90 million i sales tax rebates over the next three decades. CEO Mike Dee said that the stadium issue will have to be addressed eventually and that it was possible that the team finds a new home in the future. Last Friday was the remaining chance to introduce and pass that bill before the legislature closed its session. "We figure we got 15 pounds of bees out of there," said Bachman, who said that converts to about 60,000 honeybees. Bachman was called to the A-frame cabin last month in Eden, Utah. Taking apart a panel that hid roof rafters, he had no idea he would find honeycombs packed 12 feet long, 4 feet wide and 16 inches deep. The honeybees had been making the enclosed cavity their home since 1996, hardly bothering the homeowners. The cabin was rarely used, but when the owners needed to occupy it while building another home nearby, they decided the beehive wasn't safe for their two children. Frontier fort found Less than two months after British forces captured Savannah in December 1778, patriot militiamen scored a rare Revolutionary War victory in Georgia after a short but violent gunbattle forced British loyalists to abandon a small fort built on a frontiersman's cattle farm. More than 234 years later, archaeologists say they've pinpointed the location of Carr's Fort in northeastern Georgia after a search with metal detectors covering more than 4 square miles turned up musket balls and rifle parts as well as horse shoes and old frying pans. According to the report, police received calls of a white Lincoln town car limo that was ablaze on Highway 92, just east of Foster City, at about 10 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Art Montiel stated to the press. “It appears the white town car limo was traveling westbound on the number three lane, when for some unknown reason, caught on fire,” said Montiel. “Driver stopped the vehicle in the number three lane.” The limo driver, Orville Brown, 46, immediately stopped the limo and got out when he noticed the fire.
