Lotto mistake $14M: Mistake Turns Women Instant millionaire

Lotto mistake $14M - Single mother-of-four accidentally put an extra dollar in a self-service Lotto and was rewarded big time after she won a $14 million jackpot, NBC reported today.

Thuan Le, of Santa Ana, Calif., bought $4 worth of Powerball tickets from CVS last Wednesday, as she regularly does every week. After Le noticed she accidentally put $6 into the self-service machine, she took her chances on an extra SuperLotto Plus ticket.

With the extra buck, Le purchased an extra ticket that, unbeknownst to her, would turn her into an instant multi-millionaire.

Le forgot to check the tickets to see if they were winners until her friend reminded her. When she realized they all matched, that is when she started screaming.

“We thought she was joking,” her son told California Lottery officials. “But we thought would she really joke like this? My older brother said, ‘Yes, she would.”

To the shock and surprise of Le’s four sons, their mother was not kidding. After first “screaming,” when she realized she had the matching numbers, Le drove to the California Lottery’s Santa Ana District Office to claim her huge prize.

Le, whose name was released as required by California law, chose not to have her photo or other information publicly released. So far, attempts to reach her have not been successful.

Le plans to use her lotto winnings to, “buy a house, travel, and visit her parents in Vietnam,” according to a lottery news release.

The CVS where she purchased her lucky ticket will benefit from a $70,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. A representative for CVS also declined to comment.

Schwarzenegger son kicked out: Patrick threatens DJ Gets Kicked-out Sayers Club

Patrick Schwarzenegger was kicked out of a Hollywood club. TMZ reports on May 6 that Patrick threw ice cubes at a DJ inside the Sayers Club. The 19-year-old used a fake ID to get inside the club and was later thrown out.

Patrick Schwarzenegger relied on a fake ID to get inside the Sayers Club in Hollywood. However, he did not last long and was kicked out after throwing ice cubes at the DJ. After being thrown out, Patrick was seen outside the club and threatened to beat up the DJ. TMZ reports

The Sayers Club’s DJ, Anthony Valadez, had allegedly asked Patrick Schwarzenegger to be more careful near his table with equipment because the 19-year-old bumped into it. Patrick responded by throwing ice cubes at the DJ, and this gave one of the waitresses the chance to see him. She realized he was Schwarzenegger’s son, underage and causing trouble. Patrick was kicked out of the Los Angeles club.

The club was not the only the place that denied Patrick Schwarzenegger. After being thrown out, he attempted to get inside another person’s SUV and was refused. On May 6, Patrick wrote two Twitter updates that may have been a reference to the incident. The first post included an apology, and he commented, “Excuse my language. I apologize[.]” In Patrick Schwarzenegger’s second tweet, he wrote, “Live and learn, hope everyone has a blessed day[.]” Arnold Schwarzenegger has not made a statement about his son’s behavior.

Hell hath no fury like a Schwarzenegger scorned! Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick let his temper get the best of him on Saturday, May 4, after he was booted from Hollywood's famous Sayers Club following an apparent argument with the club's DJ.  Usmagazine reports

"I'm gonna beat the f--k out of the DJ," the angry USC freshman said repeatedly to his pals, according to TMZ. "He kicks everybody out of his table, losing money for the club, losing money for the owner."

A source tells Us Weekly that Schwarzenegger initially went unrecognized when he and his friends entered the club and sat at a table, but things got a bit heated after Schwarzenegger accidentally bumped into resident DJ Anthony Valadez's equipment several times.

"[Valadez] told him nicely a few times to please be careful because he kept bumping into it," the source tells Us. "I guess Patrick became annoyed so he started throwing ice at him. At this point one of the cocktail waitresses noticed it was Patrick Schwarzenegger and alerted the team who he was and that he was underage."

Once outside the club, the 19-year-old tried to end his boisterous rant by climbing into a nearby SUV to escape the scene, but to no avail.

In footage obtained by the site, it appears as though Schwarzenegger is denied by the driver, to which he reacts by waving his hand in the driver's face condescendingly.

On Monday, May 6, the aspiring actor and entrepreneur issued a terse apology via Twitter: "Excuse my language. I apologize."

The Grown Ups 2 actor had a bit more to say about more, well, grown-up topics, last November during the elections after voting for the first time on Nov. 6. "Hope y'all go out and vote," he tweeted at the time. "Getting the 'I Voted' sticker is worth it alone to go."

"Can we all admit that the electoral college system is a joke and it should be banished? This system doesn't make sense to me," he added. "Let's all work together to get out of this economic slump and bring our national debt where it should be!"

Scarface Actor dies: Mario Machado Dies at 78

Scarface Actor dies: Machado’s daughter explained that her father died of complications from pneumonia. He was at the Los Angeles convalescent facility West Hills when he passed on May 4.

Mario Jose de Souza Machado was born on April 22, 1935 in Shanghai. His mother was Chinese-Portuguese and his father was Portuguese. He got his start in the business in 1967 when he accepted a position at KHJ-TV as an on-air news reporter. News.yahoo reports

Mario Machado became Los Angeles’ first Chinese-American newscaster in 1970. The anchor held a number of positions over the course of his career. In addition to reporting the news, Machado was a TV show host, a soccer commentator, and a producer. He spent several years at KCBS-TV Channel 2 and its predecessor KNXT.

While folks who live in the Los Angeles area probably remember Machado from his days at the news desk, he also appeared in a number of high-profile Hollywood films. Fans of director Paul Verhoeven’s classic action flick Robocop probably remember him best as news anchor Casey Wong. Machado would later return for both sequels.

His other screen credits include Brian DePalma’s Scarface, Oh, God!, and Rocky III. In almost every instance, Machado played a news anchor, a television reporter, or an interviewer. This extended to his body of work on the small screen as well.

Before he made the jump to feature films, Mario Machado cut his teeth on a vast number of television shows and made-for-TV movies. The newscaster appeared in such notable programs as The Brady Bunch, Police Story, Quincy M.E., and The Rockford Files, among many others.

Although many of Mario Machado’s fans may not be overly familiar with his career as a television news anchor, there are quite a few of us who will always remember his friendly face from many of our favorite films.

Schwarzenegger son kicked out: Kicked Out Of Club For Threatening DJ

Bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Patrick can’t echo his father’s famous Terminator line – He won’t “be back” to one famous club, after he threatened to beat up its DJ.

TMZ reported May 6 that the teen had quite a night.

Patrick Schwarzenegger let his temper get the best of him on Saturday after he was booted from Hollywood's famous Sayers Club, following an altercation with the club's DJ.

"I'm gonna beat the [expletive] out of the DJ," the irate USC freshman was reportedly heard boasting.

TMZ reports that Schwarzenegger’s anger was over what he felt was unfair treatment. "[The DJ] kicks everybody out of his table, losing money for the club, losing money for the owner," Schwarzenegger reportedly said.

A source tells Us Weekly that Schwarzenegger initially went unrecognized when he and his friends entered the club and sat at a table, but the issue escalated after Schwarzenegger accidentally bumped into DJ Anthony Valadez's equipment, not once, but several times.

Tossing ice is not so bad. At least he didn't call up a T-800 Model 101 Infiltrator Unit (aka my dad) to come stare at the DJ with that laser-like red stink eye.

Throwing ice and a stern finger-wag. Oh the horrors.
